We just launched 50 Tomahawks at Syria.

1.41 million dollars a piece. Take that, crumbling domestic infrastructure!

The whole Trump = Russia thing being pushed so hard by the Dem establishment may have been just a way of pressuring him into swinging Hillary's way on Syria.

Yeah. Russia and Putin are already set up as hot buttons ( in Germany too ) . Why not pushing it.

Very bad is, that parts of the citizenship are buying this crap. Normally, the Masters of the Universe should not even be trying to make the story up. They have been experimenting for a while how far they can go. I fear the worst.

I'm sure that's the narrative that Trump supporters would like to believe -- blame Hillary and the Democrats for this whole mess... But, also, it kinda makes Trump look like a bottom-bitch who can get played by pretty much anyone.

I'm not a Trump supporter, but it's what popped into my head first when I saw the news. It just seems like good strategy. We know Hillary has a huge hard on for Syria. According to the NYT, it was a big source of contention between Obama and Hillary.

Going into Syria would be a colossal mistake and just show that we are indeed condemned to repeat history.

The one thing Trump made sense with was going after the Bushes on the Iraq disaster. Don't flip flop.

America-- particularly the deep state of America loves war-- even proxy wars with Russia. Heck, we've had a couple already (Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam). There's a reason both GOP and Dems love this new war. War may actually be the only thing that unites the entrenched of both parties.

Russia sees that a power vacuum is awful (Iraq's got us ISIS) and supports Assad. Ships in billions of dollars in weapons. USA hates Assad and ships in billions of dollars in weapons to oppose. Assad uses chemical agents and now it's really on. Only losers are everyone in Syria (tens of thousands dead, millions have become refugees, all refused asylum here) and the tax payers paying for it all (our small volley of 50 Tomahawks cost 1.41 million each)

At least Trump and Hillary are friends now. America is united.

Oh, I'm not calling you a Trump supporter, I just know the first thing that popped into your head is exactly the narrative his supporters would prefer, even if it makes him look like a bitch...

Goldman Sachs, Syria -- the only difference left between Donnie and Hillary is that Trump is a hardcore bigot and Clinton is sinisterly competent.

Russian warships are heading toward the ship that launched our missiles.

Russians leaked info on the attack to the Syrians. We spent 90 million to bomb a sidewalk.

I'm glad we're starting another proxy war.

Some time ago, there was the first "gas" attack. What they did not know. It was the day, the UN weapons inspection had arrived, and it was highly unprobable, Assad sent gas grenades as a welcome gift.
And. The 13000 massgraviants, they announced three weeks ago, are still not dug out. I suppose, there is a lot of false play being dealt.

Robert Reich's post on FB for the people in denial...

Update for Trump voters.
1. He said he wouldn’t bomb Syria. You bought it. Then he bombed Syria.
2. He said he'd build a wall along the border with Mexico. You bought it. Now his secretary of homeland security says "It’s unlikely that we will build a wall."
3. He said he’d clean the Washington swamp. You bought it. Then he brought into his administration more billionaires, CEOs, and Wall Street moguls than in any administration in history, to make laws that will enrich their businesses.
4. He said he’d repeal Obamacare and replace it with something “wonderful.” You bought it. Then he didn’t.
5. He said he’d use his business experience to whip the White House into shape. You bought it. Then he created the most chaotic, dysfunctional, back-stabbing White House in modern history, in which no one is in charge.
6. He said he’d release his tax returns, eventually. You bought it. He hasn’t, and says he never will.
7. He said he’d divest himself from his financial empire, to avoid any conflicts of interest. You bought it. He remains heavily involved in his businesses, makes money off of foreign dignitaries staying at his Washington hotel, gets China to give the Trump brand trademark and copyright rights, manipulates the stock market on a daily basis, and has more conflicts of interest than can even be counted.
8. He said Clinton was in the pockets of Goldman Sachs, and would do whatever they said. You bought it. Then he put half a dozen Goldman Sachs executives in positions of power in his administration.
9. He said he’d surround himself with all the best and smartest people. You bought it. Then he put Betsy DeVos, opponent of public education, in charge of education; Jeff Sessions, opponent of the Voting Rights Act, in charge of voting rights; Ben Carson, opponent of the Fair Housing Act, in charge of fair housing; Scott Pruitt, climate change denier, in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency; and Russian quisling Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.
10. He said he’d faithfully execute the law. You bought it. Then he said his predecessor, Barack Obama, spied on him, without any evidence of Obama ever doing so, in order to divert attention from the FBI's investigation into collusion between his campaign and Russian operatives to win the election.
11. He said he knew more about strategy and terrorism than the generals did. You bought it. Then he promptly gave the green light to a disastrous raid in Yemen- even though all his generals said it would be a terrible idea. This raid resulted in the deaths of a Navy SEAL, an 8-year old American girl, and numerous civilians. The actual target of the raid escaped, and no useful intel was gained.
12. He called Barack Obama “the vacationer-in-Chief” and accused him of playing more rounds of golf than Tiger Woods. He promised to never be the kind of president who took cushy vacations on the taxpayer’s dime, not when there was so much important work to be done. You bought it. He has by now spent more taxpayer money on vacations than Obama did in the first 3 years of his presidency. Not to mention all the money taxpayers are spending protecting his family, including his two sons who travel all over the world on Trump business.
13. He called CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times “fake news” and said they were his enemy. You bought it. Now he gets his information from Fox News, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, and InfoWars.
More to come.

@kylegriffin1: Trump's been in office 85 days.

He's visited a Trump property 31 of those days.

He's visited a golf course 18 of those days.

This putz can't even get the Pledge of Allegiance right -- his immigrant wife had to nudge his arm to get him to put his hand over his heart. Sad!

They bring in much more than weed. And many are very dangerous. Many rapists. Other than an improved health care system, the wall is big time. Schmuck Schumer trying to stop it from happening.

You are a wonderful human being with ideas that do not match up with reality

btw who is going to actually BUILD your stupid wall without construction workers from mexico and central-/southamerica? Or all the other "great" infrastructure projects?

Have fun with finding enough qualified "americans" for this job.

hey but maybe this is just FAKE NEWS, huh? http://www.reuters.com/article/us-us...-idUSKCN11C0F7

Please refrain from calling names. Refute ideas and even insult them. Please don't call other people names.

I just want to know if the Mexico haters actually gave a crap before Trump said build a wall during the primaries.

Have you encountered many Mexicans? Have you been to Mexico? Do you have statistical proof that our borders are just deadly infected with scum and that modern American society is rotting because of it?

What happens with these blanket "build wall" and "they're just a bunch of criminals bringing crime across the border" ideals is that they inevitably breed mass racism. Totally unnecessary racism to boot.

And wow, rapists. Really? America has a huge rape culture already implanted in our society and guess what...it's not because of the Mexicans. You can look at our own military if you really want to know what systemic rape looks like amongst female soldiers.

I have no issues with Immigrants. As long as they come through the legal way. Democrats seem to not understand this simple idea. Obviously, way more illegals come through Mexico than Canada. The cartels are no joke.

THERE IS NO SIMPLE OR EASY PATH FOR THESE PEOPLE TO BECOME CITIZENS OR ELSE THEY WOULD. It takes years to even be considered for citizenship and you need a US sponsor (family or work) to have even a chance at it. Even then, it's a crap shoot and it's not completely clear what exactly you have to do. Just google it, and you'll see how ridiculous it is.

And you know damn well the Repubs won't do a thing to make becoming a citizen easier.

It's not supposed to be easy. We can't afford the whole world migrating over here. It's unfair for the legal immigrants to allow illegal immigrants to stay here. It's like cutting in line. Illegal immigrants are 3x more likely to commit crimes. I support some ideas of Democrats. But strongly against illegals.
