So I guess we're getting another decade of Jason Garrett... Hooray?

Ugh but at least we can breathe a bit easier if Dak is overpaid. He played well.

Solid showing by the Boys. I actually really like playing LA. Feel like we can play/match up with them well. Will almost be like a home game feeling for the Cowboys since that stadium will be predominantly Cowboys fans. Looking forward to it.

Shredding the defense. And we can't run on their bottom 10 run defense.

Cowboys win one friggin' playoff game and suddenly we're gonna extend Garrett? Even after yesterday's game?? Obviously Marinelli and Linehan need to go, but what exactly does Garrett bring to the table? When Zeke runs for only 47 yards while Rams backup RB, CJ Anderson, runs for 123 yards on top of Todd Gurley's 115 yards, then your entire game plan has failed... Our play-calling was atrocious on both sides of the ball -- that ultimately falls on the head coach... How does this mediocre POS keep coming back season after failed season??? Let's ask TO what he thinks...
@terrellowens: Hey @realjerryjones! Bout time for a coaching change don’tcha think?! 2 playoff wins in 10 years!! Garrett isn’t the answer & NEVER will be! Way to compete guys!! #realtalk

They should’ve gotten rid of Garrett years ago. I’m not a Cowboys fan. He’s overmatched

Everyone knows the only reason Jason is there is to be a puppet for Jerry. How many head coaches would be ok with Jerry pretending he's the head coach talking on the radio about who will start and who won't. And various other things only a head coach should talk about. He has absolutely ruined this franchise with his unbelievably massive ego. We really are going to extend Garrett, and then give him a pay raise on top of it. Because this owner is a got dang idiot.

Good. More reason for fans to flock over to the Truth playing at the AAC.

Cowboys bringing back Linehan... In other news, I am no longer a Cowboys fan.

I mean, what else was Garrett to say on a radio show? I still think they will look long and hard at a change of guard at OC.
My main reasoning is that if the Cowboys have the same result or worse next year, then the argument can be made to clean house. However, if a new OC comes in and there's the same result or better, then Garrett has a case to keep his job.
My question now is who is left that is an obvious upgrade or change of heart in offensive philosophy. Monken would have been interesting before he agreed with Cleveland.

Bob Sturm with the sick burn...
@SportsSturm: I would not over-react to Garrett saying Linehan is staying. It is very possible Garrett hasn't been told what he thinks on this matter yet.

@RapSheet: Sources: The #Cowboys are firing OC Scott Linehan. Taking their offense in a new direction. An announcement is coming.

@RapSheet: The #Cowboys have signed former #Jets second-round WR Devin Smith to a futures deal, per agent @Clarity_jb. He’s battled injuries the last few years.

Kellen Moore had a similar QB career to Jason Garrett, so I'm sure his coaching career will be similar too... Cowboys fans rejoice!

The Cowboys will always be a raging dumpster fire as long as Jerry is alive. Life is too short to waste any of it becoming emotionally entangled in that mess. Having said that, I should send Jerry a "Thank You" note. I quit the NFL a year ago, and I've probably got a solid week of my life back in the last year to allocate towards other pursuits. :-O

I'm OK with trying a young offensive mind out. That is, as long as there is no new extension for Garrett in the mean time. Make him play out 2019 and earn it.
As far as Moore, I've heard nothing but solid things making their way out of what seem to be randomly dark crevices. Stuff about Linehan that apparently drove people mad in terms of his stubbornness and resentment to any proposed change or wrinkle. Hard to work with etc, etc.
I know with every new hire or coaching change that most media/interviews are going to lean more rosy, but I'm excited to watch a Cowboys offense next year that will hopefully be more adaptive and creative.
Also, in before pro bowl laughs...that game has become a joke, so I'm not putting any credit to the downside of Garrett and Co. coaching job there.

7 points in a pro bowl game is truly embarrassing. Throwing Zeke out there on defense in the 3rd quarter???? There is very little defense played in the pro bowl. I hate the cowboys coaching staff minus Richard so I'm bias against them but I put a ton of the blame on them for that abysmal performance.

You are putting way too much stock into the pro bowl and that's all I care to dive into that.

That shouldn't be on the Rams... If anything, karma bit the NFL for that NO game in the form of the most boring Super Bowl ever.

Pretty excited for the Cowboys next season. No huge losses to contracts, no more Linehan. Sure, we are relying on steps up from the younger guys including key positions, but that defense will be for real. I predict Earl Thomas to come in and complete the back end. The two biggest story lines will be Frederick's health and Beasley's contract negotiations. I think we can live without the latter if it gets too expensive. A lot to look forward to...
