PRO: Kenyon Coleman was acquired from the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 31 for undisclosed draft choices. He was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2002 draft (147th overall) by the Raiders.

2002: Coleman was active for one game at Buffalo (10/6) and recorded one tackle. Coleman was inactive for the other 15 regular season games as well as the entire postseason.

COLLEGE: Coleman finished his career with 138 tackles, 16.5 sacks for minus-107 yards and 34 tackles for losses of 158 yards in four seasons at UCLA. His 34 tackles behind the line of scrimmage rank ninth in school history. Coleman earned All-Pac 10 Conference first-team selection as a senior after starting at defensive end and recording 44 tackles (30 solos) with a team-high 8.5 sacks for minus-54 yards. He ranked second on the squad with 15 stops for losses of 64 yards, caused and recovered a fumble and deflected three passes. Coleman recorded seven tackles against Alabama and posted four tackles with a sack and two stops for losses against Oregon State. He had six tackles, including a 10-yard sack and three stops for minus-12 yards, against USC.

Coleman saw action in three games as his junior season was limited by injury. He finished with six tackles.
As a sophomore, Coleman was an All-Pac 10 Conference selection and one of just four Bruins to start every game, lining up at defensive end in 1999. He recorded 50 tackles (34 solos) with 3.5 sacks for minus-30 yards and nine tackles for losses of 43 yards while causing and recovering a fumble. He also deflected eight passes. Coleman was winner of UCLA's Donn Moomaw Award for Outstanding Defensive Player vs. USC, recording a season-high nine tackles, a forced fumble, two pass break-ups and a stop behind the line of scrimmage.

Coleman earned All-Pac 10 Conference honorable mention after appearing in 10 games, starting eight contests in 1998. He recorded 23 tackles (16 solos) with 4.5 sacks for minus-23 yards and seven stops for losses of 41 yards. He also recovered two fumbles and caused another. He deflected four passes. Against Cal, he registered two sacks and three tackles. He also deflected a pass and collected five tackles with two stops for losses against Oregon State. He played in Rose Bowl against Wisconsin.

Coleman saw action in all 12 games as a true freshman, recording 15 tackles with two tackles for losses of three yards, three fumble recoveries and two pass deflections.

PERSONAL: Coleman lettered three years as an offensive and defensive lineman at Alta Loma High School in Fontana, California. He was a Prep Star All-American as the No. 4 offensive lineman in the West and was also named to the Prep Star Best in the West unit. Selected first-team All-State by Cal-Hi Sports, Coleman was also an All-CIF Southern Section and first-team All-CIF Division IV. He was first-team L.A. Times All-Inland Empire selection as a senior, when his team was 13-1 and ranked No. 17 in the State and No. 3 in Division II by Student Sports. Coleman also earned All-State honors as a sophomore in 1994. In addition he played three years of varsity basketball.

Just saw that. Could be a good pick up, but admittedly....I don't know much about this guy.
