GDT game 24 - Pistons (13-13) at Mavs (6-18) 7:30 FSSW
Mavs have yet another home game. If we win this, my mojo may be gone and someone else will have to take over.
Injuries
Dirk - achilles - indefinite
JJB - hamstring - a while
Bogut - knee - a while
Harris - foot - minute restriction (?)

I hope the Pistons comes out with a different intensity than Denver did. The Suns, Magic, Wolves all won last night, let's take advantage and lose.

There is no way the bottom-feeder Pistons from the East can beat the bottom-feeder Pissed-Stoned Otters from the West tonight...!
Pissed-Stoned Otters- 120
Piston Losers - 100

I think theyre going to get Bogut healthy, put him in a couple games to see how he does health wise, then ship him to hopefully Boston and not Portland. And I want a dog gone draft pick.

Only problem with it being Boston is it would likely be a future 1st not this year. Because no way are they giving up their swap rights with Brooklyn for Bogut.

With Boston you have to come up with who joins Dallas. I have no idea who they would like to dump, they do not have bad salaries. Zeller or Johnson for Bogut does not make clear sense, unless they are not pleased with either's performance.
When it comes to 1st round pick, I think any 1st round for Bogut is good, no matter what season. Teams are not going to part so easily with their this season picks. Boston's next year 1st rounder would be nice, especially since some of this year's projected draftees may decide to postpone their draft (if it is still possible, I am not quite familiar with the process when they have to confirm and can drop out from draft).

I agree. Any first that is likely to be 1-20 in any season. Jump on that. Also don't think Boston gives up that swap with BK pick. They're probably holding out for a bigger fish than Bogut with those assets.

By all means I'd take any 1st for Bogut. I just massively prefer it to be in this years draft if at all possible. Color me a little blue as well from the last time we dealt with Ainge and how badly he bent us over in that trade.

Let's just wait on that till trade deadline. Meanwhile let's see if they can perhaps get to .500 before losing 25 games.

Some of the young blood players like Finney-Smith and Seth Curry are starting to bring something to the Mavs. This just got more interesting to watch.

No surprise. Lebron is like their poster boy selling, which helps the NBA get even more in return. I find it funny how Melo is somehow the voice of the NBA... Steph Curry instead?...

When Deron is on a mission every night he would be on there too. But he's a veteran who needs to know how to bring it back like Kidd used to. You want to have Deron's defense in playoffs mostly now.

Barnes sure as hell is the star on this team.
Wes is back to some bad old habits on offense. Hope he straightens his head out.

If they can stay consistent at scoring while getting stops. It can looks good. So far Mejri looks aware in the paint.

So far the only thing consistent about the offense is that nobody outside of Barnes has hit a FG. Detroit is just really sloppy.

Love Salah intensity...Him looking back at Dirk warms my heart. Has good and bad moments with it, but sucks that Coach does not like him.

Good news: Seth is under contract next year for only $3m, and we have a team option on Finney-Smith for the next two seasons (at less than $1m per).
I love what both of these kids are bringing too.

@espn_macmahon: Undrafted rookie forward Dorian Finnney-Smith made the Mavs and earned a significant role due to his defense, but he's shown major progress with his offensive game. Finney-Smith, a fill-in starter, has scored in double figures in three straight games, averaging 12 points on 57.7 percent shooting (6-of-12 on 3s) in that span. "He's a very productive member of this team because he's very consistent on the defensive end," coach Rick Carlisle said. "He's working hard on his shooting."

Some of these bargain contracts are really paying off. We finally hit on one of those partial guarantee contracts in DFS. We hit on Curry. And we already knew we hit on Salah.

He reminds me a little bit of Josh Howard so far...made his way on D but turned into a decent offensive player.
