I just hate having these expectations now with the Mavs wanting to trade with Atlanta. Just be happy with the 5th pick even if this other stuff doesn't happen.

I will say that if they want to get rid of Bazemore, count me in. At least he contributes something unlike Parsons. Bazemore/3 for the 5th I'd do in a second. They'd probably want more.

About Cousins, I don't want the guy. His teams have basically sucked other than last year where Anthony Davis had an insane season. My dreams scenario would be Bamba and maybe Randle (if he can somewhat shoot).

PG - DSJ
SG - Matthews
SF - Barnes
PF - Randle
C - Bamba

That'll help our offensive and rebounding woes.

Spacing would be pretty terrible though. Wes is the only decent shooter there.

So no one thinks all the Luka talk is a ploy to guarantee another team takes Luka in the top 4? That way another big is pushed down to the Mavs. They did the same thing with Ntilikina last year.

If Mavs move up to #3 - it's for Doncic.

Stay at 5. Keep future assets and draft one of Doncic, Bagley, Bamba, or JJJ.

Also, tap, like the mock, but LAC is almost destined to be using one of their picks on Robert Williams. They've been linked a lot throughout this process.

Nbadraft.net has us taking JJJ with WCJ going to Memphis at 4. Def seems like they go off of daily rumors, but that is starting to make sense if JJJ and Bamba won't play for Memphis.

The rumors going around now are that multiple teams want to trade up to 3, and if Sac passes on Doncic they will have multiple competing offers to choose from. Mavs are one of the teams.

They apparently are fielding calls. They want to dump Schroeder and/ or Bazemore, and like other players projected to go later in the draft. I don’t know what smoke would accomplish here.

They can want to do whatever they want, but it doesn't mean anything until it actually happens.

All rumors are smoke until something actually happens. And if you hear about it before it happens, then it generally doesn't.

They are fielding offers from multiple teams. In every potential trade they are dumping Parsons. If the Mavs want the pick they will have to include Barnes and possibly a future pick.
