That's a lot of national TV appearances.

The Mavs' longest road trip of the season would be four games, with three such stretches on the schedule. That includes a four-games-in-five-nights road trip that goes from Golden State to Portland to Los Angeles (Lakers) to Utah in the final week of the season. Dallas, which has had the NBA's best road record the last two seasons, plays five of its final seven games away from home.

In terms of competition, the Mavs' most difficult stretch might be the first three games. They'll open with the Bulls, who won an league-high 62 games last regular season, before facing two of their West rivals in a road/home back-to-back: the Spurs in San Antonio and the Thunder in Dallas.

It looks like the four Western Conference teams we only play three times are the Warriors, Suns, Jazz, and Clippers. Not that it'll make a huge difference either way, but it looks like our strength of schedule will be a little bit tougher this year. We could be playing all the playoff teams 4 times.

It's the Warriors, Blazers, Jazz and Clippers.. which is better. Especially since two of the three games against the Blazers aren't at the Rose Garden.

NBA champ Mavs open season vs. Bulls

Linking to this article for no other reason than the fact that it starts with:
Quote:
The NBA champion Dallas Mavericks will open the season — if it begins on time — at home on Nov. 1 against MVP Derrick Rose and Chicago, then host Miami in a finals rematch Christmas Day.
The NBA champion Dallas Mavericks. I'm never going to get tired of hearing that.

Then your wish was met. They had 20 the previous two seasons...a whopping 19 this season.
