Which means there is hope the Mavs can pull off something major because there might be a team out there desperate enough to unload salary & avoid the luxury tax next year. The Mavs are one of the few teams with plenty of salary cap space, so we might find ourselves in the rare position of getting a team to overpay to take on salary.

This is a VERY interesting tidbit, plays into the MBT's strengths.
