How 'bout a Nash three to win it? We are certainly due for a dramatic win.

However, the bigger issue has been dirk's cold shooting, nash's phantom defense, the rookie's poor shooting, and the missed free throws.

Yes,but Sacramento isn't shooting too good either, all those second chances made much more than a little difference.
Besides,Finley has been horrific on the boards for the entire 4 games, averaging 3.3 per game;its not only this one...

We're so lucky that Webber was out of bounds because Dirk let that rebound go right through his hands.

Weirdly enough we STILL haven't overcome an 8 point deficit in the 4th quarter. That is just so odd.

Dirk seemed to be having a tough night getting his hands around the ball.

Why not let Dirk get the ball directly? Why get it to Nash and then try to pass it to Dirk? There's just not enough time. Send the ball directly to Dirk.

RE: Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
Watching the replay, once they pick and rolled Dirk never tried to get strong position on Bibby. He rolled and ran basically out of the way, no way Nash couldve gotten it to him. I think if he wouldve rolled and immediately got position on Bibby, Nash couldve gotten it to him with about 2 seconds left. All he has to do then is turn, and shoot over the top of Bibby.

RE:Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
Adelman pointed out post-game that he'd instructed Bibby to pressure Dirk hard after the pick, because he knew they weren't going to have a lot of time to let things develop. So it wasn't necessarily a failing on Dirk's part to get position, as much as good awareness and anticipation by the Kings defenders.
Adelman also said that he'd given Peja a headsup about needing to pressure Nash off the pick and not let him get penetration as he'd done on a previous play.
I wonder what Nellie told his players.

RE:Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
Probably to drive around Peja if he gets the mismatch. It would have been great to see Dirk with the ball in the last seconds; Bibby couldnt have done squat to him with that matchup.

RE:Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
Nice, once again the board gets overloaded and goes down at 10:27pm exactly. When will this get fixed?
When are the mavs going to be more clutch when its crunch time? Too many bs plays run to tie or win the game. We have to be more effective if we are ever going to win anything. Nellie, your time has passed.
I am holding out for a good effort in Sac because it is an elimination game, and as everyone knows DIRK RULES in elimination games. I predict a win in game 5 on the road!
GO MAVS!!

RE:Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
It's games like when Dirk is shooting off where the Mavs should use their hired guns as opposed to rookies.
Jamison was hurt, but what about Walker?? Why only 8 seconds in the fourth quarter??? Walker is great at leading comebacks he helped the Celtics in many come from behind wins...course he was partly the reason the Celtics were down a lot.
Why not use him?? No one else was making anything.
I just don't believe you put all that pressure on two rookies especially at the ends of playoff games. Teams can ride rookies in the first half when they can play well, but when it's winning time you gotta go with proven players.

No one listened to me either.....
There were at least half a dozen posts about the free throws after I warned all to stop it!
DAMN THOSE FREE THROWS!
That IS THE LAST THING I thought this Mavs team would do....shoot poorly from the charity stripe!

Why?
It's not over yet.....we still have to miss more free throws to seal the deal!

RE: Sacramento @ Dallas Game 4 Playoff Thread
Tim Legler just mentioned on the Hot List(ESPN) that Dirk showed no sense of urgency on the last play diving down to the post to get position on Bibby. I noticed it when watching the replay too. If Dirk has trouble getting post position on someone as small as Bibby then he has no business getting the ball when the games on the line. Leglers words were something like "in fairness to Nash, Dirk really didn't dive down to the post and get position, he showed no sense of urgency when it was only seconds left." All Dirk needed was about 2seconds, and he could easily get his shot off on Bibby. And if Nash can't beat Peja off the dribble, then he has no business with the ball either. He should've pulled up for the 3, and went for the win. it was probably better than the shot he got.

I didn't really notice it. It looked like the passing lane was completely shut off by Peja.

Tim Legler wouldn't know Urgency if he had to go to the bathroom with no toilet paper.
Honestly...The guy shouldn't talk jack about Dirk or ANY other Player's so-called "sense of urgency" when he doesn't know what goes on in their minds.

Haha. OK. the argument ends here. You can think you were right, and that's fine with me. Just know that every one of us here disagrees with you. I don't feel like fighting any more.
