obviously, I'm not asking for any structural changes to the board or anything like that.. dj's done a wonderful job on that end. however, what are some ideas for the board that some of you might have thought of?

KG and I have tossed around a couple. I'm sure OP and KG have done the same. Anyone else have ideas for the board? ...whether's it's contests, competitions, yada yada..whatever.

I was just trying to be friendly to you. You took it the wrong way obviously. To do quotes either put the [ Q ] tag at the beginning and [ /Q ] tag at the end but no space between the bracket and the Q or /, or press the Quote button if you are not in quickreply mode.

I like the idea of someone keeping up with predictions and I don't know maybe we can just at the end of the season look who had the best record. What I mean by predicitions is that everyone predicts on who will lose and win every night a NBA game comes on. Another way we could do it is if everyone predicts one team that will win on a night and if that team loses that poster is eliminated from the contest. That just goes on till the last poster is available.

There is an annual VirtualGM Fantasy League Contest....As well as watching parties.....and there will be more Mavs vs. Mavs Games.

Increased participation this year would be greatly welcomed.
Last year, a lot of people said that they'd particpated...then didn't.

well, with all the new members that have come aboard, it's likely that members will be reaching post "milestones" on a very regular basis..virtually daily.

soooo, how about let's create one thread to congratulate people on this kind of thing. if we're going to clean up the mavs section, we might as well do so for the lounge as well (to an extent)

I like the threads. Because they are personalized, I feel they make the board friendlier. I think we will have less of them soon because the plateaus will be harder and harder to hit.

Same with birthday threads.

possibly, mffl...but, i can only imagine that we'll have more and more new members reaching plateaus all the time.
plus, congratulatory threads are virtually being posted for every time someone reaches a new 1000 post level.

perhaps i'm out of line with this..but, it's just a suggestion

that would work if the statuses were changed a bit IMO. right now, you only need around 12 posts to be a senior member or somesuch
