Don’t know what is weaker: our work ethic or the refs ability to call a game fairly

Why even call a TO.

Pull the starters and don’t put anyone else in. Let the Wiz win. This was decided whej we decided to be lazy and stupid in the first and then again when the refs Decided that shoving guys isn’t a call.

This team reminds me of the 2008-2009 Mavs

All nice guys but zero fire

It really can’t bode well to be this pathetic so close to the playoffs

It’s also why I want nothing to do with Utah. KP was absolute garbage defending but Mavs are afraid to even try to drive when there’s a big— starting with Luka. Only Brunson and SD were willing to go inside and SD was trash

Also in 4 out of the teams last 5 losses they have all been blowouts

Lost to Knicks-107-77
Lost to Hornets-129-108
Lost to T-Wolves 116-95
Lost to Wiizards 135-103

That has to be discouraging to have such effort at times by this team. It's like if the shots aren't falling they have got away from that defensive mind frame to keep them in games.

Yep, pretenders unless we make it out of the first round.

This is a great opportunity for the Mavs to make a deep playoff run.

The Lakers and Warriors aren't the same anymore. PG and Leonard injuries killed the clippers.

Phoenix is the only true power house out west but I feel like the Mavs are going to blow their shot this year messing around.

Luka is good enough to get them there (WCF/Finals) but he needs consistent effort from teammates.

The worrisome part is that Dinwiddie hasn't been the same player the last four games.

Teams are adjusting to him which was bound to happen eventually.

The biggest problem I have is that defensively he's a liability (I'm starting to see).

But I do like his aggressiveness

A little misleading even for that number considering they aren’t taking contested 3s like a Luca would take. Teams basically dare him and Maxi to take outside shots knowing they aren’t very good shooters.

Yep, I know a loss is a loss but these debacles are unacceptable. Kidd I’m sure is livid.

How is that decieving? He’s hit 36% of his threes. I didn’t claim he was a sharpshooter as if he was taking 10 a game. I said he was shooting 36% and he is. That’s is enough to keep defenses honest and at least one feather in his hat.

The major problem is whether the role players are going to show up in the playoffs or not. That is what all of those recent blowout losses have in common. Guys like DFS and Bullock CANNOT have bad games. Period. It might not be fair, but dems the cards the team has in their pocket.

And they might have to consider starting Dinwiddie at some point.

I was waiting for it because his numbers were unsustainable but I expect him to hit that level when playoffs start

The mavs have been bad defensively lately. But it could get even uglier if your starting Dinwiddie and Brunson together.

I mean your talking about a potential starting lineup that would give up 110+ points per night if they go that route in the playoffs.

I just don't see them advancing that far being that bad defensively in the playoffs.

I'd ride it out with both DFS and Bullock remaining starters and see if Kidd can make some defensive adjustments. I think the biggest problem is they lost that rim protection with the trade so teams are attacking them more in the paint.

Maybe Bullock, but that does come with risks. I don't think there is any definite solution if the starters buckle in the playoffs, but putting him in to start seems like the logical experiment.

I thought they looked tired last night. Those are the nights I’d like to see Green and Chriss get more run. As it was we lost by 32 points and Luka still played 36 minutes. What have you got to lose? Meanwhile Milwaukee just rested their 3 best players. I think we have two days off until Detroit on Wednesday so hopefully they can get healed. This time of year I worry about maintaining health more than anything, seeding included.

The only good news from this is that the Mavs rarely play poorly against good teams. They mainly relax against teams they should beat, and we won't see any of them in the playoffs. The bd news is three of the last 4 games are against teams in the mix for lotto balls.

I don't know why, but when a couple of guys start missing their shots, its seems very contagious.

This time of year I worry about maintaining health more than anything, seeding included.
Milwaukee is the defending NBA champs so that is a poor comparison IMO.

I don't think seeding matters as much to them because they are proven winners.

On the other hand the Mavs have yet to get the out the 1st round of the playoffs since 2011.

If you don't think seeding matters for this team then you obviously are taking the important of playoff basketball for granted.

If you can avoid a team like Phoenix until the WCF's who has constantly kicked your ass over recent years by all means you try to do that.

At this point in the season the Mavs aren't the only team with fatigued players.
