We got this. Need to box out and at least compete on the boards. Need to hit open shots to lure Gobert out of the paint (looking at you Green & Maxi).

If Maxi is cold give Bertans another shot. He's needs some regular run with Brunson and SD to maximize his skillset. I know he was getting toasted on defense, but he was at least competing and honestly the Jazz hit some real tough looks over him.

Most importantly, we need to continue to rotate on defense and make sure the Jazz don't heat up from 3. If they're hitting outside shots they're going to be tough to beat because of the major Gobert mismatch.

I don’t think anything will lure Gobert out. He’s not worried about Maxi or Green even if they manage to hit a couple.

Unfortunately it comes down to needing this team to be a nuclear jump shooting team for one game.

Definitely the most optimism I've seen yet about Luka playing. If it's a see how he feels type of thing, then I'm definitely glass half full. Hope he plays in game 3.

I heard this AM on the The Ticket (Dallas Sports Talk Radio) that the Mavs have not won a playoff game at home since 2015. They also stated that the Jazz have won 11 straight playoff games at their place. Oooff!

Yeah that's not good

Had a chance to put the Clippers away last year just needed to win 1 home game and failed on 3 separate occasions

Kind of harsh considering this is technically his rookie year because RC never gave the kid a chance.

Who knows what another summer/offseason with Kidd could do for him.

Can’t depend on the whistle
It feels strange to be deferential to the officiating in a game where the final two-minute report showed Jalen Brunson getting fouled on a critical layup attempt with under a minute to go in the fourth that could’ve made it a one-possession game. That said, Dallas’ 34 free throw attempts to Utah’s 23 seem to show that The refs gave Dallas the call on plenty of occasions. If anything, on a night where Dallas shot poorly and couldn’t sustain an offensive rhythm, the free throws were the main reason the game was as close as it ended up being.

I don't dislike him, but his impact is still minimal. And we have other guys that do his role.

I get tired of "well next season" with a lot of guys like we did with KP. It's not fair, but life in the NBA hardly is.

I'm going to watch a feed if I can find one, but I'm not very optimistic. Game 1 was there for the taking, but even with the Jazz trying to give us the game, we still fumbled it away. I am beyond disgusted with the state of the Mavs big men. Years and years of this garbage.

The realist in me says that there is no way the Jazz shoot as poorly in Game 2, and the Mavs are not going to sniff 30+ FT again in this series. I think we lose by 10, and we may even get rolled in our own building if JB and SD don't score 18+ each, and that still may not be enough to keep things close.

I hope I'm wrong, but this is the playoffs which are a much different animal than the regular season.

BTW, I haven't been following things as close as I used to, but was nobody upset that Kidd was playing Luka in the 3rd quarter of that final game when he got injured? Why was he even playing? I'd have sat him the whole game for a bit of rest, but that's just me.

Kidd is playing 3-D chess. Mind games and stuff. Plus how could he know that GS was up by 20+ in the 3rd. How is he supposed to get that info? Pony Express?

Our offense is pitiful without Jalen scoring barrage. Dinwiddie has been extremely disappointing in 5 quarters.

Green is a black hole offensively. The dude is god awful at shooting and teams are daring him to shoot like he’s a center. At this point just put in Pinson.

This is why so many of us crave for a rim protector this summer.

He's got 3 guys on the floor DFS, Bullock and Bertans who can knock down 3's but he's wearing himself out forcing shots

He needs to let the game come to him and try to win it in the 1st half
