I'm actually surprised some. I didn't think he'd get much PT there, and I didn't think Kmart rly cared about winning as much as playing to get one more decent contract. Wonder if it means Ginobili will see less time when healthy.

Looks like Russell is starting to get it. Lakers have a nice little young team.

Detroit up 13 on Portland. Let's hope they can close it out. Also, Steve Blake is still around? That guy has to have played for at least 8 different teams by now.

UGHHHHHHHHHHH! Rly wish Cowboys had signed Forte to that low price Jets got him at. We didn't even pursue him... Such a waste of a great OL to merely be satisfied with an average running game, especially considering Romo and Witten's window.

Default Spurs will go after Kevin Durant during FA

See Cuban. You should learn from the Spurs. Good at drafting and also chasing free agents.

Mavs have probably chased more big name free agents than any other team in the league. It's not his fault they decide to play elsewhere (or change their mind).

I love everything Tyson did for this team, but this is some BS.

He had to know that Aldridge was the longest of long shots, and that Phoenix was pretty much going to be forced to continue rebuilding if/when they didn't land him... Yet he jumped all over their offer the minute that free agency started (like, it was literally 12:01 when they reported it on Twitter).

No sympathy, bro... Enjoy your $52m that you aren't really earning and STFU.

Yeah, Tyson is part of the reason that team sucks. He has played better lately, but it is too little, too late.

He went for the money, and I can't say I blame him. Just don't be surprised by your situation. They could likely move him though since his contract won't look so bad in the coming cap increases.

Problem is that the cap is going up at about the same pace that his skills are diminishing... If Phoenix is going to move him, then this would be the summer to do it.

Ariza with the clutch 3 to seal the Rockets 20 point comeback win. Give me the guy who has played 2 straight seasons over the fashion model Cuban signed. Oh he's also 9 million dollar cheaper and a winner.

LOL Ariza makes Wes Matthews look good on offense. Trolling with a brain would be more fun.

Not trolling cause I've never liked Parsons and never will. 2 straight years he's let Dirk down by getting injured. If we had Ariza, at least we would have a guy with Championship experience and help Dirk during the playoffs. Parsons can't even be healthy enough to make the playoffs 2 straight years in a row and making 17 million a season. I really hope we let him go and go after Harrison Barnes or just stick it out with Justin Anderson. Also why are you comparing a shooting guard in Matthews to small forwards in Parsons and Ariza?

FYI in the clutch this season-

Ariza 39% fg and 32%3pt 1.3 points
Parsons 55%fg 40%3pt 1.8points

Trolls will be trolls.

Also if anyone else is wondering...
Wes in the clutch stats- higher fg% 3pt% and points than Ariza as well. And he has been garbage almost all season long coming off injury.

Last night, Draymond Green became the first player in NBA history to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, 100 steals and 100 blocks in a single season.

I always get a little chuckle out of stats like that ... "first player with x, y, z, in second third of season playing behind a guy at least 6'9" tall" ... that's how I feel about those.

BUT, yes, Green is freaking hard core and does absolutely everything.

Again you miss my main point which is that Ariza has been healthy for 2 years in a row during the playoffs while Parsons took a vacation 2 years in a row.

Now tell me you deny the fact a healthy Ariza helps Dirk and the Mavs in the playoffs more than a injured Parsons?

Stop it. Parsons will go down as the guy who never lived up to his contract. Can't wait to make fun of all Parsons supporters when he leaves the mavs this off season.

Now you know you lost the argument when you brought up clutch stats when I mentioned which player has been healthy enough to make the playoffs 2 years in a row.

Would like to see how these numbers stack up against playoff numbers where the real "clutchness" is made. The regular season numbers include scrub teams as well where as the playoff numbers would be against winning teams....

The other thing you failed to mention as well is that Ariza has had about twice as many games(45 to 23) to be clutch as has Parsons so the more games(sample size) the more true the percentage is going to be......one or two games is not going to move the needle up or down when you have a larger sample size....

Who was more clutch last year in the playoffs? Who will be if the Rockets and/or Mavs make it this year? I would agree that I would want someone who is going to contribute in some kind of way and not as a "cheerleader".

LOL so if the argument is that you'd rather have Ariza because he is healthy and Parsons isn't doesn't really win the case in my book. I'd take Parsons over him every time, injuries or not. They really aren't even in the same league in terms of overall talent.

There are plenty of Parsons haters though just as there were with Ellis.

Not a Parsons hater here and but also not a Parsons nut hugger either. Would i take Parsons over Ariza if I am starting a team? For sure because for one, he can create his own shot but if I am looking at them as a secondary or really more as a tertiary option there isn't that much of a difference. Ariza's defensive abilities pretty much cancels out what Parsons brings to the table on offense and they both are high IQ basketball minded guys.

Also if you look at playoffs alone, their numbers across the board are quite comparable from a career stance with Parsons having about a 6 to 7 point higher average. Still kind of hard to gauge with such a small sample size for Parsons (13 games) vs Ariza's(69).

Staying healthy is important but it isn't the defining point for my choosing Ariza over Parsons. Also looking at the "bang for the buck" as Parsons has played nowhere to what he is getting paid. All in all I really don't see this large talent gap between the two since Parsons has never been the man on his own team. He is great in a support role as is Ariza..

Ariza is NOT a high BBIQ guy on offense. That guy will chuck up garbage all day when his shots aren't falling..which is more often than not.

And Parsons has been "the man" in several games this season and has easily been the second best player on the team next to Dirk. Ariza is maybe the 4th best player on the Rockets...maybe.

Is that Ariza chucking up forced shots or is he chucking up shots within the scheme of the offense? Yeah he is shooting at a less than desirable percentage but if he is wide open, is he supposed to pass it especially if he is getting a pass from a double-teamed Harden? And if he should pass it who should he pass it to? Houston is full of great shooters in Brewer, Smith and DMo and Lawson when he was there?

Has he been the man "most" games or some? He is one of the highest paid player for the Mavs if not the highest but hasn't played like it in the last 2 years on a consistent basis. Ariza has done exactly what Houston brought him in to do and at a bargain...can't say the same for Chandler.

JJ Barea, Williams and Mathews could all have a say so in the 2nd best player category. Don't know where Dallas would be without Barea these past few games.

That mindset reminds me of parents who take their C-average kid out to dinner whenever they get a B on their test, but scold their A-average kid whenever they also get a B.

Is Parsons underperforming for a guy who was paid franchise-player money? Yep... Is Ariza outperforming dumpster-grade expectations? Yep. Not sure what the one has to do with the other, especially since the Mavericks need a score-first player like Parsons more than they need a defense-first player like Ariza.

It's almost like you're making an argument that only Houston fans would agree with/care about... You wouldn't happen to be a Rockets fan, would you, Jim?

Getting around a ban by registering a new account is very bad, Melvind.
