I am soooo not pumped for S2. I know I'm in the minority on this but that finale just turned me off of the show in general.
I am going to give it another shot though, but my expectations are low.

I am blocking the finale from my mind & am choosing to be psyched about the new season. I mean, the 8 million new characters worry me, especially since apparently EVERYONE's coming back. I mean, I want Greg Grunberg & Zach Quinto back too, but you're really stretching that plausibility of everyone surviving AND your cast is gonna be like a gazillion people. I can only care about so many subplots at once. I'm really excited to have David Anders back on TV though.
My new theory on Angela Petrelli's potential power? Sensing abilities. In the new NBC promo that's on YouTube, she's thinking/yelling "Get out of my head!" at Matt. Last season, she told Peter & Nathan she knew about their abilities before they did. Just a thought...

Yeah according to all the spoilerish things I've read about new characters, there are far too many.
I'm a little concerned about this show, but I'm still kind of pumped.

I'm concerned simply because it's hard to maintain quality in a serial drama, but I just don't get how the finale was bad enough to turn fans of the show off. Doesn't make sense to me. But I guess I'm in the minority on this board. Away from the board most of my friends that watch the show enjoyed the finale. Weird.

we need more UL up in here! That IS good philosophy!!!
PS: I still stand by my stance of Heroes being a totally average show with only decent writing and even more "decent" acting.
I watch for the same reason I go to see EVERY superhero movie that comes out....I am a comic book nerd/supercool guy from way back.

I see that Alias is getting lambasted in this thread. Rightfully so, how it ended after 4 hopeful years of thinking it would end up much better.
I hope Lost isn't headed in the same disappointment.... but I digress.
But you cannot deny that Sark's darkness was always delightful. And him added to the cast is going to be great.... just you watch and see.

Well, I can trust others' opinions of this Sark fellow. It comes with a grain of salt, though, since I was never able to sit through an entire scene (let alone segment or episode) of the beatdown that was Alias. That show was simply an insult to tv. I doubt Jerry Springer was able to follow that thing for long.

I'm blinding myself to the statements in this thread, but I bought season one of Heroes today and am currently in the process of watching it. It's excellent so far. I'm six episodes in (DL just took Micah, among other things).
This decision was born out of a desire to have something to watch this fall season until Lost, 24, and Transformers: Animated arrive next spring.

Kiro is driving the nerd bus...
I found the first few episodes so poorly acted that I almost quit on the show....if you like them...you'll love whats coming.

There's only three really good actors on the show. But i've seen terrible acting before, and Heroes is far far and away from bad acting.

It happens. But seriously, when it comes to me, i get so caught up in the story rather than individuals, that the acting doesn't really stand out to me. Like somebody's acting has to be REALLY bad for me to notice it, and that hasn't happened on Heroes.
And UL, the 3 people i had in mind were Sylar, Noah Bennett, and Hiro.

I'd include Linderman (can't believe his name won't pop up for me) definitely, and maybe Peter Petrelli.

Yeah Linderman and Peter were great. Claude was too for his short amount of time.
Has anyone bought Season 1 and checked out the bonus material yet? What do you think?

I forgot about Linderman, he was good. Peter Petrelli was my favorite character, and i am a Milo Ventegmilia fan in general, but i think he got better towards the end of the season when he met Claude (who i also forgot about, but he was good too).

Just got done with the "Homecoming" episode. That was really special. Peter is my favorite character, and seeing those several storylines all combine into each other was neat.
