Quickest ever to clinch playoff berth?
Atlanta clinched pretty quickly, but I wonder if they were the fastest to do it.
Just wanted to ask the stat-geeks on the forum, what team was the fastest (by wins) to clinch a playoff berth (not counting any lock-out or shortened season)? Although the Bulls were the fastest by date to clinch (3/2/1996), it took them 52 wins to do it. Atlanta clinched with 48 wins.
