Spurs played a b2b tonight and won in double overtime. Didn't look tired at all. Mavs play a b2b and look like they'd rather not be there. Hell they look like that anytime they are on the road.

Has nothing to do with a contract. Hope Noel is OK and recovers well.

Just saw some random love for Dwight Powell from Warriors fans in a twitter thread. Had some popularity (likes/comments) and included Bell in a trade scenario. Not sure the contracts can work, namely Dwight's likely opt-in next season. I was just surprised to see someone wanting DP.

I think he could be really solid for them.
His defense isn't great, but he rebounds hard and he's one of the best roll men in the game. He would be deadly next to Curry.
Then again, it's not hard to get a stiff that can roll for oops.

Atlanta had two 45 point quarters. Two. Atlanta.

For every young player that Rick jerked around in minutes, there seems to be a player completely failing to make an impact after leaving the Mavs.

I’d be willing to bet half of them aren’t even in the league anymore.

It seems to be the intrinsic value that fans place on players (I've been guilty). Sure, there are the few who go on and succeed elsewhere. But a lot of the rotational players here that fall out of favor, along with mostly the youth that comes and goes, we tend to place blame elsewhere. Perhaps it's just the players aren't that good or the NBA as a whole is incredibly difficult to establish yourself...

But wait, RC can't or won't work with young players. We need to fire him and get someone else. Just pick some young college coach and he will be better. That's what Boston did right? It's simple.

You don't like teams that just jack threes over defenders over and over?

Same. And worst of all, it's by design. Appealing to the lowest common denominator. Though even if it wasn't I'm not sure what could be done realistically to revert that tbh. The cat is out of the bag already (3>2)

NBA is becoming like a game of HORSE where the first team to miss threes loses.

DeMarcus Cousins fouling out in just 15 min of play...
But yeah - he's a force to be reckoned with.

Sounds like they sent the full 5.24m in cash that they had along with Carmelo's 2.9 mill contract
Bulls did that for just a couple mill.
Edit: Actually they only had 2.1 to send. They sent us 2mill and Bulls 1mill for MCW. Huh. There has to be more to that deal. Bulls aren't taking a 2.9 mill contract for 2.1 mill and no compensation.

They showed something on espn about it yesterday. I don’t remember the exact numbers, but Melo is being paid by 3 teams right now. Atlanta is paying a huge chunk $20+ mil, Houston around $1.5-2mil, and Chicago was right around $1 mil, so they netted a little cash I believe.

The NBA is so weird sometimes. Dude is pulling down a check from three different teams for a single season of play?

@TheSteinLine: The Carmelo Anthony trade call, I'm told, has yet to take place today because the deal sending Anthony to Chicago might have to be amended over a discrepancy involving the rights to an international player
@TheSteinLine: The trade sending Anthony from Houston to Chicago is still expected to go through today, but issues that have arisen over the proposed trade construction illustrate why the league would not execute the trade Monday without the Rockets submitting the required advance notice

@wojespn: For first time, Memphis will begin listening to trade offers on franchise stars Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, league sources tell ESPN. Memphis has reached a crossroads and is preparing to weigh deals involving one or both of its cornerstone veterans. Story soon on ESPN.

I'm at a point where I at least can watch Harden and appreciate how he exploits the current league rules and system to get his amount of points. This is why it's so hard to compare eras and all-time greats. Harden works right about now, wouldn't ten years ago and maybe won't ten years from now.
He's like that clever company that plays the system to never pay taxes despite making a buttload of money and the government is looking the other way. In some ways, that's just being smarter than the rest. But it's also disgusting.
