Default Christmas Present

On December 25, Dallas trades Erik Dampier, Kris Humpheys and Shawne Williams for David Lee and Eddie Curry.

Dallas solves its problems at the center position--Lee can play the pivot and Curry might turn out to be useful. New York dumps serious salary for next year and gets a stop gap at center, along with the possibilities of using the Damp Chip.

Dallas:

Kidd, Barea, Bourbois
Howard, Terry, Carroll
Marion, Ross, Thomas
Dirk, Singleton (Lee or Gooden)
Lee, Gooden, Curry

don't like this just cause i think we could get something better for the damp chip next summer..ie Joe Johnson. david lee would be a wonderful backup for dirk though.

I don't think Lee is a good fit at all next to Dirk because he can't score or defend from the post and is a really bad defender in general. Pass on this one.

Who knows the new league is moving too, quicker, mobile big men, the days of a 7 footer 280 pounder is gone. Lee has the toughest to defend and hard nosed to grab the loose balls. Would not mind, if Bosh stays in Toronto, Johnson in ATL...etc. And next offseason, I'd blow the MLE on Camby, resign Howard and go from there.

ha.. yeah, DUST Chip aside, today with how Damp, Hunkphries.. and Gooden have been playing.. making that trade(and thus taking time away from Gooden as well) would be a huge downgrade, heh. It was a terrible idea to begin with though IMO.

It was initially bumped by a bot that was asking what to get its aunt for Christmas. Obviously, the bot was searching threads for key terms and did not comprehend the actual discussion. The post has since been deleted.

Josh Howard, J.J. Barea, and Shawne Williams for Monte Ellis and Brandon Wright. Works in the trade machine too

I don't know if Washington would do that trade, but how about:

Howard/Barea for Butler/Nick Young.

Looking at the numbers Nick young doesn't even play, so from Washington's standpoint its a 2 for 1, and they get something for Young's inability to get on the floor.

Should I even comment on why Dallas does it....

This would be my Christmas present.

JJB/SWilliams/Gooden for Okafor.
Howard +cash and rights to Calathes for Iguodala.
A coupon for summer of 2010 - Damp + 2 1's and cash for LeBron.

Now, obviously all of those are highly unlikely, much less all of them at the same time, but it would be fun to watch that team play. This might be the most pipe dream scenario of all time. (Added bonus of not having to watch JJB anymore too!)

Kidd/Roddy
Iggy/Jet
LBJ/Marion/Ross/
Dirk/Hump/Tim
Okafor/Damp(Assume he comes back)
