Teams I'm hoping win tonight to help the Mavs.

Warriors over Houston. (Warriors have looked good all night, but the Rockets made a run and took the lead briefly. But the Warriors countered and have a 3 point lead going into the 4th.)

Denver over Sacramento. (The Kings are without Webber with a sore knee and surprisingly, the Nuggets are only down only 4 at the half.)

Phoenix over Lakers. (Phoenix did have a 13 point lead in the 2nd quarter, but the Lakers made a bit of a run to get within 9 at the half.)

Also, nothing to do with the Mavs, Jordan scored 41 as the Wizards beat the Pacers in overtime.

And Ron Artest was handed a 3 game suspension plus a fine.

Well, the Warriors won no thanks to Joe Crawford.

We can forget about the Nuggets beating the Kings. Wishful thinking I know, but a girl can hope.

Good news is the Suns are up 10 at the end of the 3rd.

Lakers now 14 1/2 games back of the Mavs at 13 - 20.
They are now 4-6 in their last 10 and play Phoenix again on Sunday in LA.
To get to 45 wins, LA must play at 65.3 from here on.
LA has to displace 4 teams to get into 8th place !!

In another happy note, the Pacers lost to the Wiz in double ot.

Hottest teams in the last 10 games:

Nets 9-1
Blazers 9-1
Mavs 8-2
Phoenix 8-2

Detroit, MIAMI, and Utah were 7-3

Sacto was 6-4. Mavs lead them by 3 1/2.
SA Spurs 6-4 Mavs lead them by 7 1/2.

With Golden State now ahead of the lakers and memphis sneeking up on them. It would probably be a good thing if they could grab the 8th spot. The mavs get the chance to beat the 3 time champs. And this time they suck so bad that it would be a no lose situation, unlike the past 2 years where the mavs stood really no chance of beating them.

My prediction will be us and Portland after they have some late season conflict. Rape, murder, terrorism, only time will tell. The matchup will finnaly be hyped up for the mavs. Good Vs. Evil, Choir boys Vs. ex priests and so on as so forth. Should be great ratings.
