Poll: Do you want to bring back Small Ball?
The inspiration for this one goes out to Captain Disaster. He provided a "brillant" trade idea of Fin for NVE. But it's certainly not the only one. Just think of the possibilities. Bradley for Boykins. Dirk for Stevie Franchise. AJ (Antawn Jamison) for AJ(Avery Johnson).
Come on don't you miss Small Ball. Let's bring back those days where the crowd goes wild over everyrebound and on average about 3 times a half. Bring back the days of getting killed in the paint every game. End the FT disparity and start sending the opponents to the line more than the Mavs. And hell while we're at it let's see if we can find a 40% FG shooter who'll hog the ball.

Well, considering Delk will soon be contributing again, we may just get to see it in coming days...

Please pass the Ovaltine, er...Jonestown Koolaid. There will be times where it will be advantageous to go small, but we already have the players for a good small ball lineup that can PLAY DEFENSE.

I can't believe that humor on any level is even tolerated on this site; especially as a topic!

Had the proposed NVE for Finley thread been made tongue in cheek, we might have laughed with you. Since you were dead serious, we are laughing AT you.

Small ball has its place in the NBA. Nellie just over uses its sometimes and worries why the Mavs get outrebounded.

RE: Poll: Do you want to bring back Small Ball?
I just saw this thread.
If the smal ball hasn't gone, why would I want to get it back?
If the question would be, do you want to get rid of the small ball? My answer would be: As a part of the system, absolutely. As a weapon in some matchups, no; but "some" stands for few, 10-12 games at most out of 82, or in very brief periods -5 minutes a couple of times per game- in other 20-30 games.
NEVER to be our regular starting lineup, not even in those 10 games. It should come from the bench.

Not I, but you must admit, he can be pretty intriguing with that wedding dress on!!!
SMALLBALL MUST DIE IF USED AS OUR PRIMARY TACTIC; however, as Chiwas, I think it really can help us in spurts, (how do you think a team playing small ball could win 60 if not)...
Key word... SPURTS...

I think I'd rather french Rodman than have to suffer through small ball again.
