1)Speed up the shot clock change it from a 24 second shot clock to a 16 second shot clock. 2) Start calling three seconds in the key. It almost never gets called. 3) Change the five second rule to three seconds to make a move to the basket. Hopefully teams will stop the two man game and scoring will increase instead of going down. |

4) Draft players that can score. The Mavericks have no trouble scoring AND winning.

How about scoring baskets on a waited basis according to how much time is left on the clock. >=16 seconds 3's count 4 and 2's count 3 >16seconds >=8 seconds baskets count as normal >8 seconds 3's count as 2 and 2's count as 1.
Of cource the Mavs wouldn't have to change they're playing style at all to take advatange of this. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

half court shots will count as 10 wont they?
the mavs and maybe one other team could easily survive with that 18 sec. shotclock considering their run.n.gun offense |

Get rid of the 3 point shot. Then teams will work for a good 2 point shot, fg% and ft's attempted will go up...
