They should have gave Jeremy Evans the 3 point shot. And why the hell didn't the Mavericks foul?

Regardless of the outcome the performance by the 2nd unit was nothing short of impressive

Can't keep getting in deep holes early. Sometimes this team plays without any heart.
That last unit played with a ton of heart..

I don't get why the rotation is so set in stone that some of these guys can't sniff the floor until a situation like tonight. No team uses all 15 guys on a regular basis but our guys are so inconsistent I can't for the life of me understand why RC isn't at least throwing a guy out there to get a different look.

Oh wow Ricks post-game comments
Something about not getting fired up until the third quarter again and that if that's the way it is going to be then they won't be Mavericks for very long, "I can promise you that".

Great comeback by the second unit but that missed FT by Evans hurt. However, they showed more determination than guys like Parsons or Williams (tonight). Dirk was great for some time of the game, but he can't carry the team like DeRozan can on the other side (due to his age not ability). I wished we had more players who can perform consistently well, it seems like few players are able to play two or three good games in a row.

Scola always seems to play well against the Mavs.

Rick's comments... Wow
I know it was meant to be motivating, but wow
Rick Carlisle on "embarrassing" first half: "If it's gonna be like that, these guys won't be Mavericks very long. I can promise you that."

Parsons with another utterly trash game. Oh boy, what's new. If we had sign someone with an understanding of the word consistency then this team would be ten fold better than it has been the last two years. It's time to see if we can swing a trade for him as he's been nothing but a flop since arriving here. Can't believe he's stealing Dirk's money. It's daylight robbery.

Please mean Parsons as he's proven he's not the man he said he could be.

Total overkill since the Mavs are still in the thick of things. Parsons and Matthews just aren't right and might not be the whole season with those kinds of injuries. I hate using that as a crutch, but they have been inconsistent the whole season. I can't imagine the injuries aren't the reason why.

How could that even happen? Deron has been playing improving with Dallas.

I don't know. Maybe ask Jerry Sloan or Lionel Hollins how it might happen.

Don't believe that was the right choice of words by carlisle. Understand trying to motivate but that could easily come off wrong and have the reverse effect on athletes.

In my opinion, any guy who suffers from the "reverse effect" can GTFO -- I have no interest in seeing any candy-ass bitches (like Rondo) in a Mavs uniform ever again... Fortunately, the players know what's up:
Quote:
Zaza Pachoulia: "He's a coach trying to push the right buttons. He's been in the league for a long time and he's done great things -- winning seasons, championships. He knows what he's doing."
Wesley Matthews: "We've got to start being who the hell we are and who we want to be. That's what I take away from Coach's message."
Chandler Parsons: "We've got to play harder. He's going to be here at least five more years. He just signed an extension. Nothing here is unconditional. We're paid to play hard and compete every single night. When nights like this happen, when we don't lay it all on the line, words are going to be said like that."

That Raptors vs Mavericks game from last night was weird. The Raptors had no James Johnson, Patrick Patterson, Jonas Valanciunas, and Demarre Carol. Dallas shouldn't have been getting blown out by a depleted Toronto team. Yet Dallas was down by like 13 points by halftime. Cut it to 3 points in the 3rd quarter. Then Toronto went up again by like 15 points. Dallas cut it to 2 points when Rick Carlisle went to the bench, and took out his starters. Lol
