Default Caleb Green

Here is a few articles on Green. He has impressed me. We need to keep an eye on him and see how he keeps doing.
------------------------------------

When Oral Roberts comes calling at Verizon Center today, Georgetown's Jeff won't be the game's most accomplished Green.
Caleb Green has spent his entire career defying the experts.
The power forward nobody wanted as a lightweight high school senior has spent three-plus seasons torturing the opposition for Oral Roberts. If Nevada's Nick Fazekas is the monarch of the mid-majors, Green, the two-time Mid-Continent MVP, is the nation's small conference sultan.
Just ask Kansas.
Less than a month ago, Oral Roberts (4-3) entered one of college basketball's holiest hoops temples as a 28-point underdog only to exit Allen Fieldhouse with a 78-71 victory over then-No. 3 Kansas. Though few outside Kansas witnessed it, Green's stat sheet-taxing performance against the Jayhawks (20 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, five steals) unquestionably stands as the most masterful turned in by any Division I player thus far this season.
"Caleb Green was brilliant," Kansas coach Bill Self said after watching the 6-foot-8, 255-pound senior from Tulsa orchestrate the upset. "We've got guys like Brandon Rush and Julian Wright and Mario Chalmers who get a lot of attention. But any NBA scout will tell you Caleb Green was by far the best player in this game. No one was even close."

Georgetown coach John Thompson III was one of the few who wasn't surprised by that result. Two years ago in his debut season on the Hilltop, Thompson saw Green ravage his Hoyas for 26 points and 10 rebounds as Oral Roberts pasted the Hoyas 81-63 in the Rainbow Classic in Hawaii.

More on Green(Read towards the bottom what they say about him). He can and will run circles around Faz but Faz has size and most like size and Green is 6'8" with alot of heart and can really play. It will be interesting watching Green and see if he latches on a nba team.

Green looked horrible against the Chinese team at the game at Moody. Too short to play PF (Bass looks a lot better) and way to slow to play SF.

yeah I didnt see a lot of footspeed from him. I liked all his post moves though and he seems to have a really soft touch. The only problem is that he wasnt playing against very good defenses and many of his buckets came in transition (transition post baskets?!?).

I like the guy I just dont think he's a fit for the NBA

That is the knock on him and alot of these late round draft picks. He doesn't have the size of Faz. Faz is the same about can he make it but he has the size. It does take a special player with great abilities if they are under sized. Barea, Ben Wallace is under sized at 6'9" playing center but he can jump out of a building, built like a brick wall and is one of the greatest defenders, but those are very special talents.

Where a guy like R Terry looks like he will be a better nba player than college. It is interesting watching all these guys on our squad and seeing what all they have and can do. I like watching also and seeing how many of these guys on our summer league team can latch on to a nba team.
