That was great. I love how shows like Chuck and The Office reference LOST. There are probably others (pun intended) as well.

I am trimming my watching list again...
Mad Men
Heroes
The Office
My Name is Earl
and Heroes is the only show I make an effort to watch live (since LOST isn't back yet)

it is quietly very good.
very well written, acted, and directed. I just gave it a chance and now am hooked...
I think what I like most about it is that there are no explosions, crazy unbelievable characters, or ridiculous plot lines...just interesting characters and stories

I watched about 3 minutes of "Cavemen" last night on ABC.
VOMIT.
Oh and Boston Legal is a good show the one or two times a year I see it.

cavemen was pre-empted in nashville for a talk ahow with Titans coach Jeff Fisher. It ran at 1:30 AM, so I'll be watching it today, and probably vomiting.
Second episode of Chuck was entertaining. I'll be sticking with it.
I finally got around to watching "Life". I actually liked it. The main character is quirky as hell, but it had some cool moments, some funny moments, overall a good pilot.

House was perhaps the best show on television... We'll have to see how good it is this year after a few cast changes..
Chuck has been good so far. I'll give it another look for sure. I'm also a bit scared that it won't find a huge audience. Pushing Up Daisies was solid also..but once again, scared that it'll quickly be cancelled..too quirky to find a huge audience.

I really liked LIFE...but it was bit excessive with the zen talk...even if there are a few people who speak like the main character (which I can totally accept), there is little chance that other people would grasp his verbiage so seamlessly

so far i've only disliked one show, and that was K-Ville. One show I was watching (Nashville) has already been cancelled.
I've liked the rest of the new pilots I've seen (and will be sticking with so far) - Chuck, Journeyman, Reaper, Kitchen Nightmares, Bionic Woman, Life. Recorded Pushing Daisies, but haven't watched it yet.
but hell yeah! Friday Night Lights starts again tonight! that was my favorite new show last season, even above Heroes.

I saw the Bionic Woman premiere. Didn't like it. Felt like it should be on the CW or something--like Gilmore Girls on steroids.

yeah, that (Bionic Woman) was probably the least favorite of the ones i've decided to stick with. It was a little disappointing. But i'll give it a chance to get better.
As for having time to watch all these, that's why god invented TiVos and DVRs. So when you have down time to watch TV, you actually watch shows you want to watch, as opposed to aimlessly flipping through the channels.

I have the 2nd Bionic woman on the DVR, I haven't checked it out yet. I wasn't really thrilled with the first one.
I have this Fox 30 min sitcom "Back to you" on the DVR. I watched the first 1 and a few min of the 2nd one, and it's not half bad. I think I'm watching it because a) I like Kelsey Grammar and b) I feel bad for the 30 min sitcom with the studio audience. What ever happened to that? It's like a dying art form.
I watched that 2nd episode of Chuck again, and don't tell anyone (but I kind of think that it could be a really good show)...shhhhhh. Or they'll cancel it.

DVR/Tivo is definitely God's gift to mankind. I use DVR now but after the next time I relocate I might actually think about buying lifetime Tivo =P
I also started to watch Survivor: China. It's been pretty entertaining to me so far if you're into that kind of stuff. One guy on the show is freakin huge. His occupation is a Gravedigger. =/

I watched the first episode of Back to You, and it was quality, but I just didn't get into it.
With basketball season about to kick into high gear, and my other interests, I have a very, very limited selection of shows I'll commit to, and I do zero channel flipping. Hell, I rarely even watch Sportscenter. It's really weird.

Lately, when channel flipped, I came across Ninja Warrior a bunch of times on G3. What a quality game show.

I think TiVo discontinued their lifetime service... but i still pay less monthly for TiVo than i would for the Comcast DVR, so i'm ok with that.

LOL. The man is not a man, but a beast. I'm gonna watch Wednesday's episode tonight. I saw previews for it, and supposedly he plays a bigger role in this episode. I guess I shall see soon enough.

Watched "Pushing Daisies". I LOVED it. Has a Tim Burton feel to it. Very quirky - which as Murph said, may lead to it being cancelled because it's TOO quirky for general audiences. But it is getting crazy good reviews from many, many critics. But it did win its timeslot, and did very well in its key demographic.

Yeah, I'm afraid that it'll quickly get the axe...but it is solid. The black guy on the show has been making the rounds on network TV.... Chi McBride? I think he was a regular on House for a season..then The Nine.. and now Pushing Daisies..

is anyone watching "big shots"? i tuned in because i'm a fan of christopher titus. not bad so far, although i have a feeling it will be short-lived. i've added "big bang theory" and "chuck" to my schedule this year, while losing "crossing jordan" and, at least for now, "jericho". i thought it was doing well, but they're just going with it as a mid-season replacement. not a good sign.
so, let's see, that leaves my list as:
house
er
boston legal
big shots
las vegas
numb3rs
shark
two and a half men
big bang theory
chuck
jericho
rescue me
not to mention the occasional high stakes poker, wsop, inside the actors studio, and various cooking shows.
and now were into the heavy sports season - mavs, stars, nfl, college football, and college hoops starting soon.
is it possible to wear out a tivo??

I like the new show "Life"....so far so good. Its a pretty basic crime+cops=crime solved type of show thus far, but the lead character is very solid.

I really, really like Chuck, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Life is the cop show where the lead actor is Winters from Band of Brothers, right? I may have to go back and give that a chance.

ah! Band of Brothers. That's where I know the guy from. That's a pretty good show.
Has anyone watched Journeyman? That's turning out to be a pretty good show, too. Much better than I expected it to be after a couple episodes.
Chuck is ok, but I usually cave into Dancing With the Stars.

I have a feeling that the unfolding of the case that wrongly convicted him could be pretty good.

Jeez, I may have him beat. Seriously, I love TiVo. These are the shows that I have a season pass for:
Daily: Pardon The Interruption
Monday: How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman
Tuesday: Cavemen (actually not as bad as i thought it would be), Reaper, Queer Eye (with the wife)
Wednesday: Pushing Daisies, Kitchen Nightmares, Bionic Woman (not sure if i'll stick with this one), Life, South Park, Sarah Silverman Program, Top Chef (just ended), LOST (when it comes back)
Thursday: Survivor, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, Office, CSI, Scrubs (starting back up soon), Drawn Together
Friday: Friday Night Lights, Best Week Ever, Next Great American Band (starting this week - it may suck)
Saturday: The Batman, Legion of Super Heroes, Saturday Night Live
Sunday: Family Guy, American Dad, Desperate Housewives
Not sure what day Jericho will be coming back to.
And i probably forgot some shows...
Gave up on Grey's Anatomy this year.
Throw in Sports, and damn, i've got a full schedule. I don't think i've listed them out recently. I rarely watch the shows when they actually air. I catch up on them before going to bed, or on the weekends. I often record a football game, then watch some shows. When i'm done with the show, i watch the game and catch up to real-time.

Good call on Survivor. American Band could be hit or miss. I saw the last episode of Kitchen Nightmares pretty hilarious. (Especially when Ramsey was insulted when the other chef didn't eat his fish) And definitely get Bionic Woman out of there. =P

For those that have watched, what do you think of Journeyman? Last night when he first went back in time, someone said, "oh, boy." I thought that was a clever nod to Quantum Leap. The show still seems to be in the "gots potential" stage, but the soap opera relationship stuff is a beating.
