I know a lot of people here bailed on the Office at some point, but tonight's episode was the best one in a long time. Some really well-written dramatic stuff, with perfectly timed humor mixed in.

I read somewhere that Community has officially been picked up for another season. It gets good ratings in the "upscale" demographic whatever that means (income?)

Really? I thought last night was just okay. But there's been one or two this year that I thought were easily the best of the season, and best in a long time.

I thought last night's was fantastic. Best one I've seen since sometime last year. But there was one other one this season I thought was also quite good. Not as good as this one for me, but quite good. I can't remember which one at the moment...but it's probably one of the two you liked.
I thought everything about this one was really, really strong, except the Jim-Dwight thing, which was just too stock.

Yeah, the Jim-Dwight gimmick wears thin quickly. There's been some great moments with Kevin this year. I also like the side relationship of Andy and Darryl. This season has been pretty hit and miss.

yep, officially renewed, which is awesome.
as for the upscale part - it has a "top-15 ranking in its concentration of adults 18-49 living in home with $100,000-plus incomes."

Interesting. Is there a site that breaks down ratings like this? Ive looked at that "by the numbers" site briefly but couldn't find it.

i just found that statement in an article discussing the renewal of Community, The Office, and Parks & Rec. I haven't seen a site with ratings breakdowns.

Good god I love community. They are just not afraid to do whatever the hell they want. A "My Dinner With Andre" episode? Who the hell has even seen that movie? (I only saw it because of a sociology course in college)

Did anyone else watch the 2 hour premier of The Killing on AMC? I really liked it. I'm a complete sucker for slow moving, well done dramas (The Wire, Breaking Bad), so it's right up my alley (assuming it stays good, of course).

I've got it DVR'ed. I've heard part 1 was great and part 2 not so much. Each was directed by a different person, which is odd for a Pilot. Definitely heard it's slow...but that's not a bad thing if done properly.

Haven't even heard of it. Are they going to re-air it, I wonder? I guess I'll find out. It's time to start stockpiling stuff for the summer anyway.
Speaking of Breaking Bad...just finished season 2. Can't wait to start season 3.

Watched it last night, really good. Love the gritty feel and atmosphere, Seattle backdrop works great. A bit too much exposition and too on the nose at times, but I'll definitely keep watching.

I LOVE Psych. Love it. Shawn and Gus - best duo on TV (especially now that JD and Turk are off the air).

Ya know, I guess since they hyped it up so much that it would be a funnier. I don't see Will Farrell in that role.
Speaking of NBC....I know Perfect Couples wasn't very funny....but bringing Paul Reiser back from the dead as a replacement? Yikes.

Community and Parks were fantastic last night. I like Ferrel fine, but The Office was incredibly meh.

I'm psyched for it! They've already spent 50 million on the show and have started developing Season 2, so HBO has a ton riding on this.

Perfect couples got pretty damn good as the episodes went by. shame that it was cancelled.
I think U2 and i are the only ones that watch this show, but good god Parks and Rec was AMAZING last week.
cue flaco coming on to talk shit about a show he hasn't watched:

That was a dumb move by NBC to give Perfect Couples the axe after a couple of episodes and replace them with Paul f'ing Reiser. But whatever.
Also, Farell was "meh" in his debut on The Office imo.

Ferrell was not at all what i was expecting, which is a good and bad thing. Good in that he wasn't his normal man-child self. Bad in that there just weren't that many laughs. But i would say it leaned more to the good side.

His fault, though, or the writing? I feel like people are laying this at the feet of Will Farrell, and probably 95% of it was scripted. The guy has three more episodes. Let's wait and see.

I thought Ferrell was funny, too. But the episode overall was just not that great.

I would absolutely say it had more to do with the writing than Ferrell himself. I was just grading the appearance as a whole.

My wife and I are skeptical as well, but right now we are enjoying it.
Just caught first episode of Thrones last night. Already looking into finding the books from friends or half price books. Downloaded all the maps last night. Pretty cool stuff.
Justified - this show has hit a groove and it's starting to expand with the "families" (loose term) jockeying for territory.
