Totally different team than last year. We can compete in the playoffs.

If the Mavs beat the Spurs, and both the Grizzlies and Trailblazers lose their last games, then Mavs hold the tie-breaker over Portland and get the #5 seed.

Gotcha. I don't know if I could handle that series. Need some blood pressure meds for that haha

I'd love to face the Spurs. We will probably lose but it will be another epic battle

Celtics fans real mad cause their not getting a lottery pick from the mavs. lol. I'm loving it!
Also Rondo wanted the mavs to miss the playoffs and his wish doesn't come true. Great day!

Mavs have been playing defense like the title year ever since JA replaced Parsons. Blessing in disguise.

I'm really looking forward to the playoffs. My two major concerns for Mavs success:
1. Barea's health and availability
2. Carlisle's self-inflicted damage via Dirk at 5 and to a lesser extent Zaza over Mejri in minutes.

Man, Deron played like an all star last night. We need that big time in the playoffs.

Warriors are breathing a sigh of relief. Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers are shakin' in their Nikes.

It's all a matter of want to with him. He was playing on a second night of a b2b coming off an injury and should have been rusty. Instead, he played like all-star DWil because he wanted to stick it to his former team. I'm truly hoping he plays like this during the playoffs.

Playoffs are a completely different animal because there are usually at least 2 days in between games unlike regular season. Plus we will have 2 or 3 days off based on scheduling so that will give everyone time to nurse whatever minor injuries/soreness they may have.
But make no mistake about it, this team is already in the playoffs and has been for a few games. There is no "resting" now. This is go time, plain and simple. If you are on the court, your true basketball character is in full view. Make it happen.

(Personally I dont have 2 as a "lesser extent". Depends on the matchup but Zaza cant cover the taller guys)
3. His love for the 3-guard matchup
4. Not giving Anderson enough minutes now that Deron is back
But Im happy as hell we are in.

Right but it's not the kind of game you look at as all hands on deck. But yes they gotta compete some.

Wrong. It's all hands on deck until the playoffs are over -- these guys are getting into rhythm, and losing this game against SA's reserves sticks us with the Spurs in the 1st round (which is a worse matchup for us than GS, even...) Nah, we play to win or we get our tackle boxes ready.

This guy gets it. We gotta go all in to win. This team needs to be clicking on all cylinders for game 1. Play your regular rotations. If we have a big lead in the 2nd half then you start thinking about bringing in the reserves. Has Pop come out and said the starters will rest? I'd assume we will see a few DNP- Old on the box score, but wasn't sure about Leonard/LA.

Any team is going to be a tough challenge. In order to be a champ, you gotta beat the champ. So I'm ready for whoever. But I do want to see more playing time for Anderson, Powell and perhaps McGee this last regular season game.

Spurs are all hands on deck tonight. OKC resting Westbrook and Durant. Hopefully this means Pop rests his stars tomorrow night.

If they want to try to flex tomorrow night then so be it.
