RE:Tracking the NFC East
I'd say that Washington has the easiest schedule left. However, they could be out of it with a brutal 4 game stretch coming up after a bye week. They already have 4 losses. Their next four games are:
@Dallas
Seattle
@Carolina
@Miami
I would think that at this point, they'd be underdogs going into each of the four games with a possible exception in the home game versus Seattle. But, if they are favored in that game, I couldn't see it being by more than 1 or 2 points. After that, their schedule gets easier but they could already be out of it by then.

RE:Tracking the NFC East
If Cowboys beat the defending Super Bowl champions then we will be 6-1 and officially in the playoff run. Our schedule has got to be the hardest out of our division, but hopefully we can oull out with 9 wins. 9 wins just might get us into the wild card playoffs.

RE:Tracking the NFC East
Right now the Redskins are the worst team in the East, IMO. The Giants are close to being out of this thing too (they play Minnesota this weekend, not good for them). Assuming we don't absolutely collapse, I'd say the team to be worried about is Philly. They haven't looked too impressive so far, but the are finally getting healthy, and they are only 2 games out.

I think 9 wins takes the NFC East.

RE:Tracking the NFC East
Giants just beat the 6-0 Vikings, we are coming. If the Eagles continue to lose to the Jets their will be a 3 way tie for 2nd place. Its time for the Giants to make one of their Nov.-Dec runs, they finish 10-6 and win the division.

RE: Tracking the NFC East
its gonna come down to the cowboys and giants in the east. If the cowboys can pull off some wins from bills, dolphins, redskins, and another eagle win they will definately be in the playoffs. I'm afraid the giants will make their inevitable run and win the division because the redskins are falling apart and the eagles have no offense.

The next 5 games will tell the tale....
At any rate, we've already equaled the win total for last year...
and the year before...
and the year before...
So, it's gravy from here.

How true. The Cowboys have greately exceeded my expectation so far. And if we come through the next 5 games looking good, well I'd be more than estatic.

RE:Tracking the NFC East
If I'm not mistaken, the NFC East has the best combined record of any division in the NFL.

Very good game but Philly won the Monday Night.
6-3, trailed only one game.

RE: Tracking the NFC East
Damn Packers!! I guess if we want to win the division we're going to have to to it ourselves. The Eagles should be favored in all but one of their remaining games (at Carolina).
On the bright side, Green Bay's loss helps our wild card chances if we can't hold off Philly.

RE: Tracking the NFC East
Ya i think we are looking at the wild card right now. Our schedule is killer the next few weeks. NE, Carolina, and Miami.

You may be right. Then again, I think we can handle all three of our divisional opponents remaining. That will put the onus on the Fagmadelphia Eagles to win more than 11 games.

RE:Tracking the NFC East
I'd actually give a slight edge to the eagles as far as remaining schedule strength... take out the philly/dallas game and I'd give the edge to Dallas...but, since Dallas has to travel to Philly for that game, it sways it in philly's favor.
But, the cowboys have a one game lead...
so, after overall record, what are the tie breakers?
I believe the first two-three tie breakers are:
1. head to head
2. division
3. conference.
right now, the boys are sitting at:
3-0 in division
5-2 in conference
The eagles are sitting at:
2-1 in division
4-2 in conference
So, if both teams were to win out except for the cowboys/eagles game..well, it'd be winner take all.

RE: Tracking the NFC East
If Eagles and Cowboys split, tie breaker goes to Dallas if they can manage at least one more win in the division?

RE:Tracking the NFC East
If eagles and cowboys split and both teams win out..the eagles would have the tie breaker..
they'd both have the same division record at 5-1...but the Eagles would have a better conference record
