Considering the team is .500 without its best player, this powerful rhetoric is up there with the "Jason Terry is a fraud" fiasco.

It really makes you wonder how teams are so incompetent that they are perennial lottery teams. The Mavs threw together a .500 team without Dirk and didn't even try that hard. Kudos to Donnie.

It's not really a 500 team, it has a negative point differential against a 44.3% win percentage sos. In other words, so far it has been a bottom ten team. The next 8 games are against teams with a 66.3 win %( 118-60) if they do bad )2-6 or worse) logically it might be time to start the tank

In the NBA, logically, it never makes sense to tank when you've been without your star player and you're playing close to .500 ball. As long as you get your star back healthy, and you still have a decent chance of making the playoffs, you go all out. If we've learned anything, its that when it comes to the playoffs anything can happen if you have a superstar and your team gets hot. Plus, IMO, and I think both Cuban and Carlisle would positively agree, tanking is never an option, and more than likely never will be. This is one of the reasons I love Cuban for an owner.

Thing I am so digusted back when I think about it still is letting Tyson go. When you win the title like Mavs did you keep your core together that brought you a title. I see letting Kidd go but Tyson. Very confusing on how this team does not have a point guard over years ready to take over for Kidd.

It was a big gamble by Cuban to net BOTH Williams and Howard in 2012. Looking back now I don't think we ever had a chance at either of them. Williams never showed any interest towards Dallas and Dwight only had the Nets on his wish list. It was pure speculation that they wanted to sign with the Mavs. Look at how that turned out.
