GDT game 34 - Wiz (16-17) at Mavs (10-24) 7:30 FSSW
It's time to try to get kicked in the Gortats.
Injuries
Barea - leg - out at least one more week
Williams - illness - should play

Yeah, you can't start two, slow seven footers with achey joints who can't jump over a postage stamp. Not a recipe for success (but a good way to get some lottery balls)

Saddest news I've heard in a while. That Dirk+Bogut lineup was otterly the best. We really are trying to go for it.
Easy win.

I have little faith in us losing this. The Wizards are terrible, might even be on a b2b... Maybe Wall and Beal can go off, but not holding my breath. 10-8 or 11-7 January, here we come!

Maybe they'll come out mad after Harden dropped 23-10-10 on them last night. Maybe that will fire them up

Thought Deron is shooting close to 40% this year from deep, it felt like he makes too many threes, but I guess they just annoy me too much (33% for the season).

He was an excellent player back then, a shell of his former self now. Father Time does not mess around.

I'd prefer more running fast tempo now. Carlisle seems to be pushing it with Harris and Seth out there. Shoot the 3's.

Speed is good if we want to win. Minus Dirk, Williams, and Bogut, this team is made to push tempo and abuse with quickness, length, and athleticism
I don't want us to win.

Id prefer that as well, because I'm pretty sure we will lose 90% of our remaining games if we tried to be a fast paced 3pt shooting team with this roster.

Don't know. If Carlisle plays it with 3 guards and a decent center(Bogut being able to stay consistent.) It could eek out wins.

Obviously not (you think they do?). Our only hope is being bad. And, well, trading away some veterans like Harris, Bogut or Williams for picks. But of course we will not do that, because "let's make a run at it". Yay.

Maybe, but so far this team to me hasn't shown it has near the 3pt shooting needed for that. Almost all our wins seem to come with us holding teams to under 90. If we sped it up we won't keep the score down. I'd like to see it, just because I think we'd lose heh

Sure thing!
Either way there's not much Mavs will lose contracts wise. While getting a first round draft pick either way?

You mean Rudy Beaubois-- the guy who looks great in flashes and then gets DNPs?

Wish he'd shoot more. An "ok" shot from Curry sure beats the hell outta a Wes dribble drive.
