An old team playing right after lunch...we know how the mavs do with early games. This is borderline morning game. FRANK THE TANK

No doubt, BW.
So fun to watch Dirk still take over games like this.

Mavs still suck monkey balls at rebounding.

There was a game today? And we won?

It's very difficult to watch the games right now. Because as a franchise, I want them to win games but also to lose games. I see players going hard like Wes and I think he's regaining his old self and I really like the guy ... but then I wonder what his trade value is. I watch Dirk and he's a shadow of his former self, yet he STILL goes out and carries a team to a win. I smile when he makes his smooth nothing but net shot, and then get sad because they are pulling away at the end and I want them to lose the game. I look at the stat sheet after the game and see Wes, Barnes, Dirk, DWill, DH and JJB all in double digit scoring and note how well balanced the scoring was ... and then wonder who of these players will be here in 3 years when we are/should be in 100% rebuild mode.
This is the exact reason why I only did one season of fantasy basketball. I found myself cheering for players I did not like simply because they were on my fantasy team. I'm just ready for the Mavs to get 100% committed to a direction so that I can cheer for them whole-heartedly without reservation again. This just really sucks right now.

Yeah I'm right there with you. I have such mixed emotions while watching the games. I enjoy watching the players, but I want them to ultimately lose. When we pull out wins, I feel happy for the players giving it their all, and feel disappointment from the fact that the guys helping us win these games probably won't be here sooner rather than later and are only delaying the inevitable.
I do think most fans feel the same. All of Dallas watched the Cowboys suffer a significant injury last year and wind up in a position they would not have been in otherwise. This Mavs team was about to be in the same boat and instead we might end up being the equivalent of a 7-9 football team, which doesn't really help long or short term.

If we get to see that sweet jumper by Dirk return to form like this game, then I'll be cool with an extra win or two.
The most troublesome item of this team in the foreseeable future is the lack of rebounding. Mavs are the worst rebounding team by I think 3 rpg. It didn't kill team this game, but it will most nights. And nothing is worse than watching a team that can't rebound, rebuild or not. I don't see it changing short of getting a center this summer that can grab 12-15 rebounds a game.

Biggest problem? Our successes are largely measured by the performances of three guys -- Dirk, Barea, and Harris-- guys who aren't in our long-term plans because of their age.

Is Bogut that washed that we actually might have a tough time getting rid of him? Cant stay healthy...At this point Id settle for a 2nd rounder anywhere. Starting to wonder if we're stuck with him all season.

Teams value draft picks in today's NBA. I can't see anything better than a 40 or above pick...if that for Bogut.

Nah, there are still several teams that would love to snag Bogut for the rest of the season. I still expect at least a really high 2nd.
