Magloire on the block?
Hell, we could always use a third C.. trade Damp to the East for a second round pick or some nonsense like that and maybe re-sign Magloire at the end of the season for something close to the MLE? Sounds like a pretty fair investment, and probably an upgrade from the Big 25. Unneccessary move, yes, because we have to like what he have from the 5-spot, but if we could unload the albatross contract that is attached to Damp, we could be in VERY good shape financially in a couple of years.. What do you guys think?

I'd do it, but I doubt Milwalkee would. I don't see them taking on another monster contract, especially one attached to a guy like Dampier who really couldn't help them. There's a reason they are dumping Maglore...it's because they beive Bogut will be a star. No reason to burden their roster with $50M of commitments for a bust like Damp.

does magloire have low post offense?
actually at 10 ppg doesn't look like it. if there's a big man with low post offense, mavs should look into it.

Sorry I meant to state it clearer.. we could trade something like Quis to Milwaukee for Magloire, then ship Damp somewhere in the East for like a second round pick. Would that work according to the CBA?

I'd love to get Maglore in here but one thing you must know about him is that once you throw the ball into him its not coming out. Don't expect a passing big man or to have a inside outside game with him because its not going to happen. But that maybe a good thing. A big man who's determined to score everytime he touches. I wouldn't mind going into next season with Maglore, Damp and Diop. You can never have enough BIG's. What does Maglore's contract look like? If its as bad as Damp's then forget it.

Magloire has better numbers than Damp, 10 points, 10 boards in 30 minutes.
Is he as good defensively? I'd love to trade Marquis for him and then sign Mike James or Sam I Am.

How 'bout we trade Marquis for Magloire, trade Damp to Atlanta for Harrington, then sign Mike James.

A guy who actually can catch the ball = Magloire
A guy with butter fingers = Damp
No brainer here. But I doubt any teams out there would take Damp's big contract, unless Cuban secretly pay them

Damp is twice the defender magloire is. I would like magloire if he could be had on the cheap but he isnt better than damp.

Damp is a bum. He gets blown up by 75% of the teams we'll be facing in the playoffs.

Well considering that he was the mavs 3rd best player in the finals i would think he would have gotten a little more credit from you guys but oh well.

anyone who can't admit that Damp is a highly effective defensive center is obviously bias to the point where his points should be disregarded

Damps a good defensive center yes... but the contract was still way too much for just that, and Diop will be way better in a year or so.

What exactly makes you think diop will be better? And even if he does become better having 2 quality centers is not a bad thing.

I actually do agree with ape that the bucks wouldnt do it, the only reason they want to get rid of magloire is that they believe(as do I) that bogut will be a star.

I expect Magloire to go to the Wizards. It's very unlikely he'll come to Dallas. We really don't need him. We have 3 very solid centers.
