Jesse Owens in 1935 in the Western Confernce Track Championships (big 10)
he:
ran the 100 yard dash and tied a world record
then
ran directly over to the long jump pit and set a world record on 1 jump (a record that would last for 25 years)
then
15 minutes later, won the 220 yard dash setting a world record.
then
ran the 220 yard hurdles, winning the event (but didn't set the world record in this one)

he had more points than any other school at the meet.

truly the best 45 minutes in sports history

Thanks for the post, Murph.

Owens was amazing.

Jesse Owens' role in race relations, American sports and humanity i ngeneral has long gone underappreciated. The man was incredible.
