What a difference a couple of FT's would've made.

Haha, Williams misses both after a blown OBI call, and Okur gets the rebound and makes the shots to put the Rocks away.

Can't rebound a missed FT ---->>>> unforgivable.

This always happens. It was a foregone conclusion that they would oreb that missed free throw.... So dumb.

I like McGrady, but he just doesn't have what it takes to carry his team. Can't make free throws when it counts, can't take over a game. He had a very solid game, but that's just not enough in the playoffs. He was also right there to get that rebound after Williams' missed rebound...but misjudged it...

That's what I was thinking. He should have subbed them in after Deron missed the first free throw. If they had gotten the rebound, he should have called a timeout and moved the ball out (thus taking out Hayes and Mutombo again). Dumb move on Adelman's part.

It isn't always about stats. His shot selection is horrible. Many times he takes a heat check shot after making one shot. It is a TOTAL momentum killer. That is one of the biggest complaints my Houston friends have. (I live in Houston now and have a lot of die-hard Rockette fans)

The only heat check shot I remember came in the early third when the Rockets cut the Jazz's 14 point lead to six fairly quickly.

Lay off. It's not his fault a couple of people in the stands ordered Heinekens and got Budweisers.

Well, he was 3 for 12 in the third. One heat check. That makes it 8 easy shots he missed I guess.

If I were a Utah fan, I'd be extremely worried, his team has yet to really put away the Rockets in a game..........a team that was missing their starting PG and is extremely undermatched. Frankly I think Utah is in for a big surprise when they run into the Lakers. Lakers actually have capable scorers and they can't just concentrate on one guy. I'm taking the Lakers in 5 or 6. Lakers unlike Houston has size, their bigs have the range and the athleticism to come out and guard Boozer and Okur, they also have scorers off the bench........and unlike this series, Utah aint getting calls from the Refs over LA, because well......It's LA.

Oh and nikeball, I will gladly trade cities with you.

I'm on suicide watch.

Hell, the Rockets won 22 straight (12 without Yao). They can win three straight right? Maybe? Yes?

Sure. They are due at home. They are not going to lose at home again. Jazz better win it in game 6!

I'm hoping the Rockets don't lose on Tuesday. If they must lose, let it be at the Jazz' home court. I don't want the Flopping Crew to celebrate in Houston.

Dude, they won against minor or shorthanded teams for that streak. Everyone said it wouldn't matter, but you acted like they were beating real competition. Now you're facing real competition and you have no true inside presence. Houston is another first round bust.

I think the Jazz matchup nicely against the Lakers. The games against the Rockets have been close because the Rockets are a good defensive/rebounding team which sorta has called out the fact that their best player is McLady and their offense is inept.

The Lakers however, as good as they've looked against the Nuggets, are not a great defensive/rebounding team.

Nuggets O is overrated... finished regular season 11th as far as points scored per 100 possessions.

Jazz have an advantage against the Lakers as far as offense and rebounding... not to mention quick point guards/interior defense have been issues for the Lakers all year... I really like the Jazz in this matchup. Lakers perimeter defense is suspect as well which means Okur, Korver, AK47, DW, all their 3-PT shooters will get open looks.

and the Jazz are capable of playing great defense as well.

I don't wanna speak too soon thoug, since Rockets and Nuggets in theory aren't done yet

Do you honestly think the Rockets were not shorthanded during the streak? I believe arguable the best center in the league got injured less than halfway through the streak. Rockets were playing with playoff intensity during the streak, while every team they faced weren't. Now the Rockets are playing with playoff intensity, but other teams have picked up their level of play, too. You can't honestly say that the Rockets are doing badly against Utah. The game last night was a huge example. I hope they pull a win out in Game 5. Hoping.

it isn't always about the stats, eh?

Houston is really a different team with rafer alston on it. I daresay that

1. They might be leading this series if he had been playing.
2. They are very, very good with that bunch and yao. Really solid. They'll be quite a handful next year.

We say this every year. I said it a lot before this year.

I'll say it next year.

It's tradition now, more than anything else.

He was bad under the "eyeball test" throughout the 2nd half. Throw all the stats you want out, but, as nike mentioned, T-Mac bricked a lot of shots that the Rockets really needed in the 3rd.

Then, per usual, he all but completely shut down in the 4th.

Yea I was watching the game last night and couldn't help but think what would happen if Yao was there. They have a bunch of solid and effecient players on that team but their best player doesn't seem to be one of them. Another year of Skip and a healthy Yao and I think they finally get out of the 1st round next year. But like Flac said, we say this every year lol. Only thing they can do now is just move on from T-Mac. I don't see how or why they should upgrade their role players. They seem to be fine. Yao is going to be Yao. T-Mac is the only question and they'd probably be better off keeping him.
