No, nothing was worse than last week. They didn't even deserve another chance after that showing.

Will Jerry ever see himself as GM as the common link in all these long years?
(Also, there's a lot of football to play. What a story it would be if they came back today)

If/when they lose, I find it hard to believe Wade AND Jason can come back next year.

Didn't Jerry already say that they'd both be back next year?
The Cowboys will still have the most talented roster by far going into the season next year. Coaching is certainly what I would look to change.

Philly will try to play it safe for the rest of the game and Dallas will get close. The question is how close.

What an absolutely idiotic play call by Garrett on third down.

Take that Garett! Romo has more plays at his fingernail than you have in your whole effing book.

Make Romo the player-coach.
He's doing a better job in the second half than Garrett is.
There's no way Witten was supposed to throw that, but good play on his part.

I'm sure there was an illegal lineman downfield. But if they didn't call it, too bad!

It sure did look like Romo was the head coach right there and pushed the punt team off the field.
And yes, I'm pretty sure sure as of yesterday Jerry said the coaching staff is coming back.

The Cowboys dont deserve to go to the playoffs this season. Please add Pac-Man to the "Mental Midget" list. We official have the most "Mental Midgets" on one team. The worst thing Jerry Jones could do is keep them ALL together. Wade has to go, Pac-Man has to go, Roy's have to go, and either Garret or Romo has to go (But we all know that means Garrett needs to go)....We need to get another starting QB on the team that can compete for the starting job.

Windmill,
To be honest getting beat by those two teams are not bad. You can hold your head up high by getting beat by those two teams. The game that cost us the playoffs is the fact we got beat by the St.Louis Rams....Can you believe it, the St.Louis Rams..

As long as we're getting PROACTIVE...I think you've beaten the point home to a pulp on how you feel about Romo. The next step is coming up with a plan for if it needs to be fixed.
Either way, I'm not sold Romo needs to flat out be gone from the team.
There are some other major issues with the roster.

If we are getting rid of Romo, we might as well blow up the entire team. If we are going to call Romo a mental midget that needs to be gotten rid of, we can say the same thing about 75% of this team.

I gave you a plan, find a way to make Romo the back-up.... Like you said, you dont want to see him flat out gone...As I am typing Romo makes another fumble to give the Eagles the ball. Are you sure you want to hang on to Romo like this? At some point you have to say that he is mentally scarred, and maybe a fresh start is the best thing for Romo? I just dont know, but he is at the top of my list of the problems. To be honest, I do think that some of Garret's problems is the fact he has to make the offense extremely simple for Romo (IMO?) Just a guess, but dont know, but Garrett had so much potential, and I just dont see how his offense got so simple so fast..

The game was out of reach at 24-3 possibly 17-3. Anything from here out is an attempt at doing something with the ball rather than doing nothing. The game is over. we would probably have equal results by just kneeling down 4 times. You want to get rid of Barber too?

That's a pretty generic plan though...there isn't Plan A, Plan B, C etc. etc.
FA, Trades, Draft...those are all easy plans, but we need actual names.

Garrett probably needs to go
Roy needs to come back
I need to hear what your plan is though for a QB...I mentioned my thoughts/concerns at the tail end of the Ravens thread about that. Here is what I said:
Silk, I understand your points and all...but given the nature of the league, what exactly do you think the option is when you say "I will be first in line saying we need to do something about out QB situation real fast."
You can't exactly trade Romo away for a QB, are you going to trade him for pieces? If so...you still are looking for a franchise quarterback. This isn't a very trade friendly league with its superstars. Off the quick glance, via FA, you're looking at Cassel and Garcia. Do those FAs satisfy?

I dont have a plan in mind, but the people that are paid to get this done, should make this a top priority right after this game. Getting a QB here should be something we discuss right now. You know exactly what I am doing. I am showing you EXACTLY why I called Romo a "Mental Midget" and that he cant win big games for the most part, he does not perform well in December and has never won a playoff game. All this while while having the most talent in the NFL to work with. The team to beat is not even going to make the playoffs. I have not ignored any players, I have told you many times about Wade and Garrett as well, and now I am talking about both Roy's and Pac-Man...
I defended my point about Romo the 1st game of December and defended it all the way up to this game about Romo. I wanted to be wrong, and I wanted Romo to show us all he has matured and ready to get to the next level, I told you I was hoping for that, but along the way I have showed you why I said this about Romo. Just look at what we see with Romo today, with the most of the line he comes up extremely short, and is a part of the problem today. Look at his stats and tell me otherwise.

You have to laugh. Typical Cowboys game. Great play to put them in scoring position. A penalty by Flozell, then Romo fumbles.
Romo makes too many mistakes to ever be a great quarterback.
