Ingles trade was just salary dump for both teams. Alexander-Walker is one of the worst players in the league imho. Terrible chucker and ball stopper that can’t shoot.

For those asking, Richaun Holmes is not currently listed on the injury report after missing last night's game due to personal reasons. There is no word on his availability. I'll talk more about this situation coming on on @DLoAndKC at 2:30.

Harden ruled out for tomorrow's game
Seen walking around Philly today
I would bet $100 that Harden is with Philly the next time he suits up for a team and that that trade is going to cause a lot of other trades to move forward tomorrow.

Good ole sleuthing, haha I love it.
Also, I can see why the Kings traded Halliburton with Fox and Mitchell in the fold. Though I would have thought Fox would be moved first. I like it for them if they think Fox and Mitchell are their guys and better fits with Sabonis.

Nothing is gonna happen with the Mavs. Even if the Simmons/Harden trade goes through, there won't be time to make a flood gate trade. Was listening to the KOC podcast with Fischer, and they were talking about how Morey loves to make trades at the very last minute.

Mavs have been trying to shop THJ's contract per Fischer. For people thinking this FO was any different, well we haven't seen that so far. Giving him that contract was a disaster from the get-go, and SMC and I called it before he signed it.
Why are the people running the show so inept with this stuff? Thank god the team is playing well right now because otherwise...

I’m ok with no moves. Don’t want trade for the sake of appearing to do something— see Reddick, JJ. Rather save our assets for a difference maker. What few assets we have, that is.

Glad to hear they are working the phones trying to dump THJ. Can’t blame teams for not lining up for an injured player in the first year of a 4 year deal. Agreed on giving him the contract from the start. Too bad he didn’t just go to NOLA.

To be fair, the injury won't deter teams. Unfortunately that type of injury has become common place, but usually worse news for big men. He will be back this season, I'm sure.
The attractiveness is a good to very good back half rotation player with a contract descending in value. There's a market, but I wouldn't expect much in return other than possible salary relief, unless he's packaged with other assets.

Also, enjoying the Lakers tailspin. I almost posted this in the around the NBA thread, but relevant here...
Why the fuck is Talen Horton-Tucker even considered a trade piece? Seeing him rumored as one of the Lakers assets in trade talks, but I can't remember a more hyped up end of the rotation, if not bench, player. Is it just because he's on the Lakers and Lebron likes his hustle? I don't get it. Maybe it's because he's the only non-max, non-min player with salary to help match? Either way, what a woof of a roster.

I guess he has decent size? But he’s been garbage all year hasn’t he? It’s because it’s the Lakers and they always seem to get what they want (except CP3).

Weird that Cuban won’t resign Tyson Chandler after winning a championship, but we won’t trade guys like Powell, Maxi, or DFS.

Do you trade KP just to get rid of the contract? Give his constant injuries you have to consider it right?

I think I would. I was a believer coming into the season because it was his first healthy offseason, but he’s now missed 20+ games before the AS break. I’m moving him if I can assuming we aren’t taking back a bunch of garbage.
If the offer is for Siakam I do that in a heartbeat. KP will never be healthy.

Yeah, Siakam is a no brainer. And if you include THJ for Dragic then you win emperor for a day.
KP/THJ for Siakam/Dragic works. Wow, please get that shit done.
Edit: We all know this isn't happening, but we might as well get one last trade deadline buzz before inevitable disappointment sets in.

The Mavericks have been among the more active teams in the league. While the Mavs themselves have always been notoriously quiet as an organization, league sources summed up their positions as such: Jalen Brunson and Dorian Finney-Smith are not available, they’re not inclined to part with them and will likely commit to them long-term. – via Matt Moore @ Action Network
Trade, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jalen Brunson, Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks also discussed a deal with the Washington Wizards of Hardaway Jr. for Spencer Dinwiddie, but one source suggested that deal had not gone very far on either side. – via Matt Moore @ Action Network

The smoke with all of this is the obvious need to dump salary. If you want to keep Brunson and DFS, then you have dump either Tim or KP's money somewhere.

What's the point in that? I feel they do that just so the Mavs don't get Dragic? If SA doesn't buy him out, then it's clearly just a ridiculous jab at the Mavs. Petty.

Yeah, weird move since both are FA next year. Dragic actually costs more than Young.
Just saw the update that he is expected to sign with Dallas once bought out.

They get Thad Young who is a good, useable player. If bought out he wouldn’t choose Toronto.

Yeah but why would SA was the issue. Apparently it's a first round pick which is pretty amazing.

I actually like the Kings pickup of Jackson and DiVincenzo. At times they have both played well just have to find some consistency.
In Dallas both of those guys would be rotation players. I expect one of them to become a borderline starter in Sactown

Makes it even more unconscionable in my mind that Portland got no 1st rd pick for Cov and Powell. Just absurd. Front office malpractice. Though I suspect Paul Allen’s sister cares more about $ than winning is what drove it. Cronin just wants to keep the job.

Marc Stein comes in to ice thoughts of Dragic to Dallas. I sometimes wonder if he tries to make sure good things don't happen with us lol.

seems like the Mavs for years are one of the few teams that can't turn players like that into draft capital LOL
Which is why guys like Powell or THJ are still here taking up significant cap space although neither deserved those contracts they got at the time of their resigning
But hey it's the Mavs
