After the last two games, he's probably thinking "what's the point".
I wonder what are we gonna see from Mayo and Collison in the future. Second unit players for play off contenders or starters for Cleveland and Charlotte? Dallas is not the place for them.

Dirk can only get the ball at the three point line. Guess the high post feed goes away when kaman plays.

Where? 30 feet away from the basket with a guy in his face? If he wants the ball, he should go to his spots.

Dirk has every right to quiet on the team, specially the backcourt.

He cant get to his spots because he is setting the screen or standing in the corner while kaman screens.

What would happen if he ran to the high post and demanded the ball?
Because by my count, he did that twice in the entire second half.

What would happen? Ask Carlisle becauseDirk was repeatedly setting screens for the guards. He was running the plays that were called.

I hope we're not still defending Rick Carlisle after tonight. It's time for change.

Tyson Chandler had 28 rebounds tonight.

Do you honestly think this team would be better if the only move we made was replace the coach?

Carlisle is not the problem.... Have you watched this team in crunch time? They collapse like a folding chair. Turnover after effing turnover.
I still believe Mayo is a much better player then the JET. If I was coach I would have him sit there and watch Dirk and JET highlights until he gets the freaking clue. Mayo should be much much more efficient with how good of a shooter he is....
Dirk shouldn't have to work as hard as he is working... There is no reason for him to not get more shot attempts then he is getting. At this point I rather have Vince Carter throwing him the entry pass rather then OJ and Collison.

I think I agree with your assertion that Mayo>Terry. If we had a 36-year-old Kidd around, Mayo would be doing all the good with none of the damage.

Honestly, I'm glad that I switched to that game midway through the 3rd quarter. Much more entertaining than that Mavs garbage. Sorry to say, but true.

Considering Terry was largely responsible for creating his own offense at the end of games, I don't think "having Kidd" is what separates him from Mayo.
Mayo, overall, is likely a more talented player at this point in their respective careers. But Terry had that intangible thing that is so incredibly valuable: the ability to consistently create shots late in games. It is exactly why I said we would miss him (even though I agreed, and still do, that it was time to let him go).
Players who can do what Terry did late in games over and over are few and far between. They are mostly your superstars, then your lower-tier stars (Joe Johnson, etc.), and then a few high-quality roleplayers like Terry. That's it.

?
Jet was a PG in ATL and his BBIQ was pretty high at 25 already. Mayo won't probably never reach that lavel.
Jet is also an elite shooter AND when Jet was young he was very quick and athletic.
Compared to JET Mayo is a steraky shooter with no ball handling skills and zero athleticism.
(just my opinion of course)

Let's not revise history, here. JET was known as a bone-headed combo-guard that couldn't run an offense and yet didn't have the size to be an SG. That's why he was available for a declining Antoine Walker. Terry's A/TO ratio was only so-so as was his "hands" rating. He turned it over a lot so he stopped driving it. Mayo's numbers are favorable when you look at Terry's. Let's not pretend Terry was John Stockton and OJ is just some scrub.
OJ and Terry are both jump shooters that can drive it sometimes. Both are undersized for the SG that can't run an offense. JET was never young, quick and athletic. JET shot 34% before coming to Dallas and only made it into the 40s when he came to Dallas. OJ is currently shooting in the 40s.
And you really want to call OJ streaky when comparing him to JET? Were you around for the JET years? Pull up a single thread about JET and the complaint was that he was too streaky to be a Mav. I remember thread after thread complaining that JET did more harm than good after a 3-17 game where he shot us out of the game.
You try to hide behind it being "your opinion" but you opinion is about real facts-- facts that you are wrong about.
