why is it all of a sudden ok for someone to knock someone else in their signature as blatantly as he has. i have no problem with arguing in threads.. however, his sole purpose of his signature is to start sh*t.

no, i don't think it's true, just using it as an example

It goes both ways. As much as you'd like to beleive you have some sort of higher superiority, you don't. You sure as hell not gonna get superior treatment from me. You offend people too and pass EVERYTHING off as a joke or in your words "Shock Value". But when it comes back to you, you get all upset and cry foul. It goes both ways Murph. You live by the same rules as everyone else. Nothing more, nothing less. Period!

actually, murph, someone had a sig that referenced RCF earlier. all that was asked of them was that they removed RCF's name. everyone knew who it was directed toward, but it didn't state it specifically, so nothing's wrong with it.

while you take offense to david's sig, i think he has every right to have it. he is not bashing you by name. it's not like someone would come on the board for the first time and know that he is stalking about you.

funny thing about it..i dont' really care about the signature..i could care less about what the older gentleman has to say about me in his signature. he spoken enough for me to realize that his opinion is not worth getting worked up about. Arguing with him on the specific subject we have been arguing about is kinda like arguing with another infamous member..or infamous former member.

what bothered me was that nothing was said by any of the mods..

since they did nothing to stop the situation with the signature, i guess i'll have to take matters into my own hands.

I think everyone on this board gets a little to worked up over things. That is easy on a message board where the subtlety of voice inflection is not heard. People if someone offends you try to let it go. Whatever happened to turn the other cheek, the golden rule, etc.

We are not sportsowners, journalists, coaches, or GMs. We are fans. Remember that before getting to worked up over something.

You have no idea. Unless you have some kind of access to the Mod Lounge. You see, that's where we go to discuss the board. Have you ever thought that maybe it HAS been talked about(behind closed doors) and we may have decided not to take any action?

murph- I think the reference to the Rangers thread was because you started a third thread for the same series. In the second Rangers post, Rob asked us to keep all games from a series in one thread to help keep the board clean. Probably no big deal until we get used to it and it's probably a good idea.

And I happen to know for a fact that they talk in the Mod Lounge. I received a very courteous request recently (which is noone's business really but I am happy to do it) as a result of such discussions. Give these mods a break...at least give them benefit of the doubt. This is a great site (some recent posts notwithstanding). Let's get it back to basketball and other decent topics in the Lounge.

to be honest,. i don't read every thread or post on this board. when the rangers lose, i sometimes don't even look at the previous threads. so, rob, i'm sorry for posting a thread for the next rangers game.. however, i was too pissed at the rangers to read what was said about game 2..so i didn't catch your remark

in case you didn't know..my problem really isn't with the signature.. it more or less has something to do with someone's actions in regards to the signature.

this is the last i will say about it..but his two faced b.s. is getting a bit old. you wouldn't expect that from someone in his position,...

however, i didn't say his name, so i guess i'm safe.... isn't that how it works?
