The good news with him is that even in a down shooting year, he can still pass and rebound at a reasonably high level. Can always use that.
They could have probably signed Dinwiddie back in the offseason. Instead we gave THj a raise. Good dude n all. We would have definitely been better with Dinwiddie and KP than THJ....and Dinwiddie.

I mean KP isn't playing and when he was playing we weren't a better team. It's really a miracle that he's a star and yet his presence on the court never translated to better offense, defense, rebounding, or win percentage.

I am cautiously optimistic about Dinwiddie and maybe even Bertans. Dinwiddie has that NVE edge and could really use a fresh start on a team that is functional (sounds like Wizards locker room was a screaming fight daily according to reports). Everyone has said that we needed a second/third playmaker and we finally got one and it's the end of the franchise. If he can finally be the guy that Delon Wright/Josh Richardson were supposed to be, then we got a huge net positive for a guy who didn't really do anything as far as impacting the game.

Luka is surrounded, by all accounts, by nice guys. He enjoys going to the club with these dudes — Maxi Kleiber, Josh Green, and his bestie, Boban Marjanović. But these are guys no other team wants. Those fun teammate vibes will only get the Mavs and Dončić so far. If he is a generational talent, most believe him to be — failing to advance in the playoffs has already begun to eat at him.

The inability to get anything beyond a Porziņģis deal done proved that. Instead, the Mavericks are chock full of glorified role players who only look good playing next to a generational talent like Dončić. Half of them wouldn’t make an NBA roster elsewhere.
