Luka vs Ja
There has been a lot of talk about who is better or who should be on the all-star first team lately. There was one play that stood out why I cheer for Luka. It was the one where Luka fouls Ja near midcourt. Ja ends up on the floor. Luka immediately apologizes and helps Ja up. Granted Luka is way bigger than Ja’s 185 lbs. Ja never acknowledged Luka trying to help him. That showed me who the humble superstar was. Maybe all this talk has gotten into Ja’s head but for me it was that play that I am most proud of our Mavs superstar. Just like Dirk, he is also a humble and nice guy.

I noticed that too. Luka and Ja have always seemed to get along and part of what I’ve liked about Ja is he seems like he’s having fun while being a competitor. Much like Luka. He also didn’t shake hands after the game. Possible he’s reading his own headlines too much lately. Did the talking heads all really choose Ja to start a team over Luka? That’s just silliness. As bad as Luka has been at times this season there is no way any GM in the league doesn’t choose Luka.

In the post game interviews, Doncic was super complimentary of Ja. Ja on the other hand was salty. He kept making excuses about tired legs and came across as super arrogant. I’ll take our chubby boi all day.

Ja is one in a long list of water bug guards like Stevie Francis, Baron Davis, John Wall, and Derrick Rose

Ja wants it and is having the better season, but he'll never be a better player. Those amazing hops always end with an injury.
