Here's a tweet from (the real) Lebron:

Quote:
KingJames Congradulations to @MikeVick & @DeseanJackson10. Great win!! Keep it going. Vick for MVP
Two things. "Congradulations"? Nice. And I thought LBJ was a Cowboys fan. Oh wait, he's just a fan of whatever team is winning at the moment. Nice.

I guess that means he's not a Heat fan.

Dwyane Wade: 1-13 shooting (0-4 from downtown), 1-5 FT's for 3 points and 5 TO's in 38 minutes.

That's worse than Barea.

Well, maybe Miami is tired of that sack of sheet stealing money from them and trade him. I bet the Mavs are too high on "he who shall not be named" and hang on to him. No amount of slashing, free throw line attempts, refs in your back pocket can overcome Hobbit jersey sales.

Miami is 9-8.

They were 10-7 at this point last season.

According to Michael Dugat at DB.com:

Quote:
- Dwayne Wade is shooting a career low 43.8-percent and has a 20.1 PER, his worst since his rookie season.

- LeBron James is shooting 44.9-percent, his worst since his rookie season, with a PER of 23.9, also the worst since rookie season

- Chris Bosh has a 21.0 PER, his worst since his second season in the league. He’s also putting up his worst rebounding totals (7.3 per-game) of his career.

Has anyone else noticed that Spoelstra constantly (and correctly) refers to the Heat as a "group" instead of a "team"?

Tracy McGrady, a better analyst than post-season player....

Quote:
Tracy McGrady said he knew they were bound to struggle. ... 'It's what I expected,' McGrady said ... 'You've got two guys (James and Wade) that really don't mix. I mean, they're the same type of player. They just don't complement each other.' ... McGrady compared the Heat's three main players to Boston's threesome of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. 'If you look at Boston's big three, they're traditional guys,' McGrady said. 'You've got a true shooting guard, you have a true small forward and you have a true power forward. You've got a shooting guard that doesn't need the ball. In their case, both of those guys need the ball. They're not great outside shooters, so they just can't stand out there and wait for one to pass the ball and knock down an open shot. That's just not their game. They've got to have the ball to make plays and catch a rhythm that way.'
That's about as good of a take as any, imo.

Thats one of the problems I had with the team-- I got bombarded so much with "OMG Heat gonna win" that I half expected it and they still might find a way to win, but this isnt NBA 2k8. This is real basketball.

Wade is a star because he can always kill you on the slash.
LeBron is a star becasue he can always kill you on the slash
Neither are all that effective off the ball.
Both need the ball in their hands to be effective.

Its fine to bring in LeBron as your PG, but then you have to shooters and guys playing off the ball around him like Hamilton, Allen, etc

Its fine to play Wade at the 2 as the major creator, but by giving him the ball you are making LeBron ineffective

Bosh is just an overhyped pseudo-star with the ego of a superstar. You arent a superstar unless you can put a team on your back and carry them to the playoffs. Bosh was just a good PF with only average rebounding ability. He got a lot of shots and there were a LOT of rebounds available.

The team is just fatally flawed without even considering their relative lack of talent around the big 3 and the enormous egos of the big three.

The Heat get dangerous if they can play some strong 2-man game with LeBron and Wade or Bosh where the ball keeps moving, but other than that its one superstar vs the world with stars around them doing nothing.

"While the players may have their doubts about Spoelstra, it is not clear whether they want team president Pat Riley to coach them. Several people close to the situation said Wade definitely does not want Riley to come down to the sidelines. Sources also said that while recruiting players this past summer, Riley insisted that he would not coach the team."

Wade needs to get over himself.

"Spoelstra told James that he had to get more serious. The source said Spoelstra called James out in front of the entire team, telling him, "I can't tell when you're serious."

"He's jumping on them," one source said. "If anything, he's been too tough on them. Everybody knows LeBron is playful and likes to joke around, but Spoelstra told him in front of the whole team that he has to get more serious. The players couldn't believe it. They feel like Spoelstra's not letting them be themselves.""

And James needs to grow the f**k up.
