I've read almost all of his books. They are a nice guilty pleasure, good for airplane reading.

State of Fear was awesome. Jurassic Park made for a great movie.

that is sad news. I liked Jurassic Park, obviously, and Congo, too. His last few books that I read all felt like i was reading a screenplay rather than a novel, though. It was like he was simply writing books to turn into movies.

Anyway, good, entertaining writer.

I haven't read a book of his in over 10 years but I think he was the first author I started following on my own back in the day. So hurray for getting me into books.
