Ken Berger is probably more correct than the source I read that the Cavs were all-in after meeting with LeBron.

Ha, taking the villain veil away from Lebron. Boy if Lebron decides to stay.....mud to their face. I mean geez a first rounder to take Jack off their hands? He was due 6 this year and 7 next. What jerseys are they going to light up when he chooses to stay.......

Maybe they are protesting by accepting more money than they are worth?

More I think about it, the more I think LeBron will return to Miami, which means Wade and Bosh will probably take a pay cut, Houston will match Parsons, etc.,

@KBergCBS: Gordon Hayward's 4-yr, $63m offer sheet with Charlotte has 15 pct trade kicker + player option after 3rd yr. Jazz still expected to match.

@WojYahooNBA: Blake has agreed to the bi-annual exception with the Blazers, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

@KBergCBS: Steve Blake's deal with Portland is a two-year, $4.2 million deal with a player option for year two, league source says.

Donnie Nelson said a little while ago that they have not sent the offer sheet to the Rockets yet. WTF is the wait for there?

Default Gordon Hayward About To Be The 63 million dollar man

Looks like either from the Hornets or Jazz, Gordon Hayward is about to get a 63 million dollar contract over 4 years. Gordon Hayward is talented, he can shoot, and has pretty good ball handling skills, but I don't think as a basketball player overall he is worth 15 million per year. I always said to be making a 10 million or more salary, you should be a 2 way player on defense and offense, (Lebron, Wade, Deng, Kobe, Dwight, CP3) if your not that type of player you should be able to either score in multiple ways, (Melo, Dirk, Harden, Parsons, S-Curry) create for others, (Nash, Rondo, D-Williams, Calderon, Monta) or be a IMPACT player on defense, (Tyson, Marion, Noah, Iguodala) one out of the 3 should apply to your basketball skills if you can't be good or great on defense AND offense. I don't believe Hayward is that player yet. But the market is pushing Gordon Hayward's value, so supply and demand I guess. Lol

@daldridgetnt: Meanwhile, GSW didn't do anything with the $9.8M traded player exception from the Richard Jefferson deal to Utah. Expired at 9 p.m. Pacific.

Quite shocking that Jefferson actually had an OK year last season.

@woj: Yahoo Sources: Chris Bosh agrees to five-year, $118M deal to return to the Miami Heat

No clue why he did that but if somebody from the former big three earned going for money it's Bosh. Such an underrated part of what they were doing the last four years.

Spurs would be hilarious. Moar power to the SW.

@WojYahooNBA: Utah has informed Charlotte that the four-year, $63 million offer sheet for Gordon Hayward has been matched, league source tells Yahoo.

@WojYahooNBA: The Jazz sent Hornets notification this morning, source tells Yahoo Sports. Hayward will sign a four-year, $63M deal with Jazz today.

It would be interesting if the Bulls amnesty Carlos Boozer, if the Rockets would try to pick him up. It wouldn't be a bad move on their part at all. I still feel that Carlos Boozer's years with the Bulls are very underrated. He is a low post threat, rebounds consistently, and he communicates on defense

I think it went something like this:

Pierce: I'm an allstar! Give me 10mill a year!
The world: (cricket noises)
Pierce: C'mon, I'm the Truth. I still had like almost 14/5/2 last year.
The world: (cricket noises)
Pierce: 10mill...overall?
The world: (cricket noises, then they stop)
Wiz: (in a raspy whisper) C'mon down!
Pierce: (sighing sadly) Well, I can opt out next year when I'm 37 and get 10mill/yr then. Right?

Looks like 1yr 10mill and he'll probably opt out after this season if the new TV deal significantly increases the salary cap (probably to about 70mill)

@Monroe_SA: Just got text from Matt Bonner that reads: 'I'm coming back."

10 million for Luol Deng from Heat, and 8 million for Trevor Ariza from Rockets, I would expect from those two guys, they would have asked for around 11-15 million per year. I'm surprised they are taking less for their value on the market

Its interesting that Greg Monroe and Evan Turner are barely getting their names talked about in free agency as of now

For two very different reasons.

No one wants to touch Turner with a 10' pole. Lots of people want Monroe, but no one is talking about him, because he's an RFA (like Bledsoe) and you have to be half crazy to throw a huge amoutn of cap space at a guy who can just be matched

More specifically? With Turner is it skills/game? Or behavioral?

Wasn't he like a 2nd overall pick? Some Sixers FO head should be rolling still.
