The Mavs defeated me so hard last night, I'm thinking a loss tonight could send me flying to a negativity tantrum the likes of which you people have never seen.
Get your "negative rep" buttons ready.
Go Stars

Stars lose 3-2 as a puck bounces off of Morrow's skate and through Turco's 5 hole late in the first overtime..

For the fellow Hardline fans out there, Murph is most certainly fillilng the roll of Black Cloud....

I think the Stars know that they aren't just playing for this series, but for Hockey in Dallas.
A game 7 win, a thrilling comeback, and a second round series with the Red Wings would do a lot for that cause.
Marty has to be perfect again, though.
This thing is still a bounce here or there away from being another disappointment for Tippet and crew.

Razor weighs in from Vancouver....
Quote:
GAME 7 (OR 9...BUT WHO'S COUNTING?)
I told all of you prior to the series that this would be a low scoring, best of 9. Your welcome.
Stat of the day: These two teams have played 38 periods of hockey against one another this season (regular season and playoffs) and have combined for a paltry 30 goals. That makes the average margin of victory 0.3 of a goal! And that's what the game tonight will be decided by -- a fraction...in overtime.
It looks like no Zubov for Dallas and possibly no Kevin Bieksa for Vancouver. That's a double negative for the Stars. Zubov's subtraction goes without saying, but young Bieksa has been nothing short of a liability in the series. (bad penalties and zero production)
Nice omen, or Law of Averages? The last 7 times the Canucks have been eliminated from playoffs they have fallen to the occasion on home ice.
Enjoy. I'll talk to you from Detroit.
(Oh, and pssst, take Barnes in your pool)
|
If Zubov doesn't play...and Klemm makes one lousy mistake back there....
grrrr. Not happy about that really. The benign power play has an even lesser chance of scoring without Zubie.

Brenden Morrow on one leg vs entire Canucks bench
I love my captain. Not platonic either. Full gay love, like sike and a jar of pickles.

A Stars win tonight will keep me from mouthing off the next time the boys leave me in the office while they go out and play golf all afternoon (Stars win every time they play on a game day).
I liked Morrow before, but after hopping on one skate to taking on the 'nucks bench, now I love him.
Flac: Why are 3 "chokes" in your sig? You cursing all the Dallas teams to failure?

You're right....there should be 5. One for each playoff game in a row the Mavs have choked on

Who's more likely to win their series, Mavs or Stars?

Well crap, looks like the kids got water on the keyboard of the laptop. I tried to type something frantically after that goal went in, and about half the keys worked.
So, know that jthig is lurking the thread, and watching.....

Thanks to the refs for not calling the offsides right before the penalty, and then not calling Sedin interfering with Modano before the goal
