Why? Because Nesterovic is playing more like a PF than as Center.

Well, Dallas is up, but Spurs haven't shown any important piece forward.

If the Mavs are otherwise rebounding the ball well and Najera isn't asked to do too much on the defensive end other than draw charges and get into the passing lanes..then there's no problem putting najera in now

Is anyone else watching in on NBAtv?
The announcers hate the Mavs and have a fetish for Malik Rose.
It's Sean Elliot and some other guy.

Its funny. Sean gets all excited and and his voice gets loud when the Spurs score.
When the Mavs score hes quiet.

Turnover by Walker. Rose outplaying Najera. I wonder what would happen if FOrtson was on Rose.

Dirk comes out on fire with 9 points in the first and Don was calling plays for him.
He still has 9 points and its halftime. How and Why?

Mavs playing much better, but the TO's really concern me. Walker has got to cut these down. He's been horrible with the TO's.
And can someone, anyone block Rose off the boards. He's killing us.

Nice to hear the Mavs are playing better, but not much to get excited about when you realize they're without Duncan and Parker.
Rose always kills us.

IMO, Nlelie doesn't want the oposition to know where the offense is coming from. Attack them from every angle. We don't want the MAvs to play like the Orlando MAgic.. 1 against 5. We have way too many all-stars, and way too much money invested to do that.

Don't get me wrong, I want the Mavs to win. I want them to play better and shake the recent funk. I'm just not getting all excited by them beating a Spurs team without Duncan and Parker.

Well, Rose has done a good job but virtually no one else on the Spurs team. The Mavs are up 27-21 on the glass and they're up on the offensive rebounds. IMO, no complaints on that front. I really think you have to look at what the teams are doing on the whole..not simply individually.
The Mavs have a good lead on the glass and are leading in offensive rebounds despite the Spurs missing more shots. Alot of teams are 'good' offensive rebounding teams simply because they miss alot of shots. Hence, there's more opportunities to grab offensive rebounds.

We have to put a body on Malik. With us playing man, there's no excuse for him killing us on the offensive glass like he is.

57-56 mavs Nellie finally calls a timeout. He needs to put Jamison and Najera back in. Dirk looks uncomfortable at center and Walker isn't contributing.
