As frustrating as those shots were on TV, I can imagine that they were 50x more frustrating in person, surrounded by their fans....

No violence and the hazing was all right, I got a whole section booshower for a couple minutes but otherwise, just even back and forth. Except I had a whole lot less to work with..
Most annoying was their attitude about the Mavericks. They really bought into the whole believe thing... when things went well for them, like Baron's half courter, they were matter of fact "Oh, he did it again!" or "Keep shooting, Dirk! I want you to hoot it all day long!", when things went the other way, it was as if they were losing to an underdog, like when Stackhouse hit 4-5 3's in the 1st half, it was "Why can't they cover Jerry Stackhouse? It's <bleeping> Jerry Stackhouse! The guy sucks!"
Still burns as it was my first Mavericks playoff game. >(

Some vintage Kobe in the last minutes of the Rockets game... Kobe scored 8 in just over a minute... Lakers within 2 with 24.9 on the clock.

Wow... Lakers get a steal and tie it but Battier hits a clutch 3. 2.5 seconds for the Lakers to answer.

I'm cracking up at the Rockets fans who were touting the re-arrival of Stevie "Franchise" Francis to the Rockets. Dude isn't even going to play.

For now.
besides, last yr it was not the starting five that was the issue, it was scoring punch/depth of the bench which is not a problem this year.

actually, Tmac set him up quite nicely. It was not ideal as The Bat was kind of far from the arc and well defended.

We don't lose anything if he does not work out. He was had dirt cheap.
He has a choice: work into shape and earn minutes
or mope around and glue himself to the bench.

Despite a prevailing belief of some of the posters here..... the rules surrounding language have not changed.
Granted, during the offseason not as many mods were around to discover the infractions. But the season has started and it would probably serve some well to either remember the request by DJ to keep the board conversation clean, or go re-read the community standards.
I love you!

I apparently missed a good game in the late night as I went to bed instead of watching LA/Hou.
In the first game though, Portland will be for real in about 4-5 years. If they can suck enough this year to get a good top 5 pick and find one more player, with Oden coming back. That team could only be growing pains away from a title. They have their frontline. They have good youngsters in Roy and Webster.
They played much better than I expected against the Champs, and although they didn't win, they stayed in it to the end.

He will play eventually...he just needs to "get" the new offense. And if he doesn't play that just means the other guards are playing better (James/Alston). Considering that we had no depth at that position last season I'm still pleased....
I was very happy to see James produce off the bench. With him and Wells we should be able to get some solid production from there, compared to last year where we got none.

And1 super defensive of the Rockets on a mavericks board, per usual.

Only if you count the extreme case of generality, which by definition means superficially general, which in general means appearing to be or containing no substance in general. I don't think Flaco falls in this category, in general.

The Rockets are kicking some ass tonight. I'm afraid they're going to be very good this year.
