OKC is desperate to get Westbrook a triple double even though it's over

Earlier today I thought Spurs in 6. Now OKC will be lucky to get one. They totally rely on talent and have no maturity or teamwork.

It's silly to think that the Mavs would have been less competitive these past few years of they could do over the 2011 offseason

I still hate the Spurs but I do have respect for them. I got nothing for OKC right now. They whine like little brats wanting candy at the grocery store.

Did anyone time it? Was it a whole 2 minutes we made it into the post season before 2011-12 off season was brought up again?

Well, now that we have LeBron Dwight Howard and Deandre we dont have to worry about those guys anymore.

Anyway I'm just in a pissed off cynical mood in the minutes after the season ends. Please excuse my behaviour.

Yeah because Kidd, Terry and Marion didnt fell off a cliff straight in the next season. Stevenson was done too, Cardinal, Peja...

This 2011 team were always an one and done...why people cant realize this?

Even with Tyson we may not win a single series...

If this is the end of this site, ive gotta give a shoutout to a few peeps.

Underdog, youre effing hilarious man. I do alot of lurking but the amount of chuckles and laughs youve given me over the years is too many to count. Thanks.

Erica, you've held down the forum like a boss.

CGM, you have the greatest pregame posts. I always looked forward to reading them.

Melonhead, youve been the most real and I probably relate to you the most.

I have alot of respect for a bunch of other posters here as well. Its been real.

This team fought hard and put up a good effort under the circumstances. Always hate to see the season end with us coming up short, but I'm proud of our guys for competing. Bring on the offseason!

@SaadYousuf126: Two very short responses from both team leaders on Cubans comment that Westbrook isn't a superstar
KD- "He's an idiot"
Dirk- "I'll take him"

Cuban had a point if you read the whole damn article. He just dont consider every allstar or every all nba a superstar. Cubans superstar list is pretty short. Thats why he doesnt consider Westbrook.

Durant is a giant idiot to take this single quote and react that way. First rule: "I dont know the context blabla"

Durant and Westclown are two idiots for sure. Their crap about Charlie was classless too.

Was it classiness, or was Dirk taking a bit of a swipe at Cuban?

I mean, it's not like he's ever played with anyone as good as Westbrook, even if the guy is "just" an All-Star instead of a superstar... The only time one of Dirk's teammates made the All-Star team was Josh Howard in 2007, as an ALTERNATE.

I generally like Mark Cuban, but he needs to STFU right about now.

I highly doubt it was a swipe. Dirk was just being real and the laid back guy we love.

The class ones comment was about giving a thumbs up and coming out as a good sport, though.

Westbrook isn't winning the championship. So I also love it how the Mavs exposed the thunder a lot.

Pahah clips aren't all that good either with deandre. Mavs saved money on this for more added to the future.

Yeah, I said "a bit" of a swipe... Like, Dirk's comment wasn't ill-intended, but his honesty also points to Cuban's biggest failure as an owner -- he's never successfully paired Dirk with a (super-/All-) star.

I just don't think Cuban's track record gives him room to label a top-tier player in this league... Especially when you're talking about a guy who finished 4th in MVP votes last season.

Dirk said he intends to opt in. It's not surprising with how good Dirk has been to us, but it's important.

I saw a team that was one center and a couple of role players from being a playoff contender. We kept surging back time after time and all it would have taken to get to that next level is someone even competent to man the center. Dirk doesn't age, so we are really likely to have a second round opportunity. Parsons as PF was good. Anderson and Mejri really surprised. JJB, Harris, and Felton were good enough and competitors. Matthews defended his ass off and will only get more comfortable with the system offensively. We got a good core. Use the second rounder wisely. Grab a good free agent or two. Let the right guys walk and we have a real chance.

I loved JA's shot at Westbricks chin. Just desserts for being the stat chasing whores they are. I agree with the above- dude will never win anything.

Oh and Anderson and Powell looked really good out there.

I think Durant wanted to say more but he can't swear on the mic. So he just said idiot over and over

I just don't think Cuban's track record gives him room to label a top-tier player in this league... Especially when you're talking about a guy who finished 4th in MVP votes last season.
There's just no reason to say anything because it trickles down and makes the organization look bad mainly Dirk that he's had to put up with this most of his career.

Perception is reality in the NBA, and Cuban shouldn't have said that no matter the context.

But I think this type of stuff is typical when you go hard at it in a playoffs series. And Durant could have responded better himself. If you are a true superstar, then you can be humble about it like Dirk always is. Being a superstar is how you deal with the media and negativity surrounding you as much as it is your game on the court.
