Default Dallas-Boston without P2

Boston Trades
Raef La Frentz
Marc Blount

Boston Recieves
Michael Finley

Dallas Trades
Michael Finley

Dallas Recieves
Raef La Frentz
Marc Blount

Trade Id

2463588

Boston does this becuase both players are very much over paid, and they can only waive one or the other. This way they trade to horrible contracts for an even worse one, but because there is only one cantract they can waive away salary as if it was of theire revious two contracts.

i.e. turn raef and blounts contract into fin-dawg's and waive him.

why the celts do this?

1. they are rebuilding. cap space
2. more playing time for developing youngsters like perkins and jefferson

Dallas does this to aquire the backup PF/C we need. Now, we got a choice of a back up big man with a great shooting touch in raef, or a banger with blount. your choice, pick one, waive the other. Also this gives us a chance to resign fin after he is waived.

1. big man
2. possibly resign fin

your thoughts??

Blount no longer cares about winning. Both guys are more of face up shooters. Not good defenders. Why do this trade. I'd rather get olowakandi than those 2 guys.

we're not getting both. one of those overpaid **** are definitely as good as gone with the one time waive. and hey i'm pretty sure one or the other can be a decent back up.

two words -- not happening.

You never trade two bigs for a small, let alone one big.

You think the celtics trade these two guys away and then go into next season with only al jefferson and perkins? highly doubt it..

it's more liek trading two bigs for cap space really. i mean come on boston wants to get rid of both their contracts, but can only do so with one. if they waive finley, they clear a ton of cap that they can't by just waving either la frentz or blount. also, they can tell blount or la frentz that after we waive one of them taht they will resign them. ala what we did with allan henderson or what they did with the glove.

In the new CBA, that might not be allowed.
