Misfit Mav will become famous soon enough
Default Free Agent Shooters

Here is a partial list of free-agent that might help us out as shooters off the bench...

Wesley Person
Jon Barry
Kerry Kittles
Steve Smith
Casey Jacobsen
Boki Nachbar
Anthony Peeler

Some of these guys should be available for the minimum.

I like Jacobsen for sure, good call. I would like to add Jason Kapano to the list.

Marco Jaric is RFA. I seriously doubt Clips would match a MLE offer, since Livingston will start next year at PG. I know that would leave us in a pickle with our backup C spot, but maybe a trade with TAW for someone would work. Marco is the perfect fit for this team, he can shoot, he can dribble, he plays tremendous D, and he's a tall PG really. I think if you were going to add him to the starting spot would be best, but if your looking for just purely depth, I wouldn't sign him, he'll want to start or at least get minutes.

From that list, Nachbar was killing some 3's on New Orleans team this year, he has nice size and he hustles, could be had on the cheap.

And Nachbar plays SF, the spot we need. As it is, with Fin, we have three SGs and one SF. Would be nice to make it a true 2/2 situtation.

As for Jaric, I think the Clippers won something like 58% of the games that he started last year. Pretty amazing statistic, I can't remember where I saw it.

Kyle Korver is my preference, but he's probably a MLE guy. He can flat out shoot and can play 2/3. Also Donyell Marshall. How about a PF that can hit threes, rebound and block shots?

Nachbar is my lower end preference because of his youth. A good shooter.

Jacobsen or Korver look good to me. I think Jacobsen is about $1.5 million per year and Korver more, but less than the MLE.

I like Jacobsen too. I don't think we will have any problem finding a 3P shooter to come off the bench. With the exception of Marshall, I prefer the younger guys. I think that's why I'm not afraid of losing Finley as his role would be 3P shooter off the bench.
