Improbable 9 man deal DAL/BOS/PHI
Boston trades:
Pierce
LaFrentz
Banks
REceives:
Mashburn
TAW
Quis
Dal 1st
WHY?
Huge salary savings, while adding another versatile Young player to the team, and pick
Philly trades:
Mashburn
McKie
Salmons
REceives:
Finley
Dallas 2nd rounder
WHY?
tries to acquire one last gun to help AI win title, and all Big $ contracts run out around same time.
DALLAS trades:
Finley
Daniels
TAW
1st & 2nd rounder
REceives:
Pierce
LaFretnz
McKie
Banks
Salmons
WHY? Well they would have to desire Pierce a whole hella lot to do it, which they should. Also they move Fin, but pick up LaFrentz, so he'd probably be cut. then the rest is end of bench crap.
Jet/Harris(1/2)/ Banks
Pierce/Stack(2/3)/McKie
JHO/KVH(3/4)/Salmons
Dirk/KVH(3/4)*******
Damp/*******/DJ/PPOD
*******means we still need a 4/5. It could be Lafrentz(although unlikely$$) So I imagine they throw they're MLE at Kwame or Gadz, and see if they can get one. Or get Hunter to be more of a 5, and KVH will get most of the reserve 4 PT.
OBVIOULSY I'd like to get Pierce. He is a great 2 guard, and gets to the Line. Which is priceless.

RE: Improbable 9 man deal DAL/BOS/PHI
This is a pretty bad trade for Boston. They’re under the cap so there’s no reason to make this kind of deal…if they want to trade Pierce they can get more then Quis.
Tony Allen and Gerald Green are both young SG’s so they really don’t need another…you’d probably have to throw Josh in the deal for them to even consider it.
Also, Marcus Banks is still improving…I wouldn’t label him end of the bench crap just yet. He looked like a bust after his rookie year but he picked up last year and is on is way to becoming one of the better defensive PG’s in the league.

If the upper trade is possible (which I doubt), then Philly can get pierce instead of Finley. They give Igudala, mashburn, mckie and 1st for peirce and LaFrentz. The trade is better for each team than when they include the Mavs. Philly can also use Green and Korver, The Celtics can have their pick.
If CUBAN doesn't want Finley's contract, Philly definitely will not take it on top of WEBBERS’ and Allen's contract.
Also, if we want to trade with Philly, we should get Sammy at least.

RE: Improbable 9 man deal DAL/BOS/PHI
yeah Boston isn't cap strapped, but this would remove the two older, and only huge salaries. It would allow them to STAY in good cap health, and keep their own talent. Eventually they have to pay some of that youth.
And it would be better for Boston to go straight up with Philly, BUT they are in the same division, and most teams avoid sending their star to a rival. Also I don't see Philly trading Igundala for anyone, even in a deal for Pierce. Same goes for Green and Korver. Why would they deal their only youth, when thye don't have too.
I agree it's far fetched, but most trade ideas are.

Terry, Stack and Daniels for Pierce and Blount works. It might be a steep price, but Pierce is a quasi superstar. Superstar Duos usually win titles in the NBA. Add a guy like Marko Jaric or Antonio Daniels.
Harris
Pierce
Howard/Finley
Dirk/Van Horn
Dampier/Blount

We'd need to keep Fin and and use the MLE to get a good interim PG. I like the trade though.

BLOUNT IS NOT ATHLETIC. More of a face up shooter. Doesn't care anymore after getting a good contract. It is more fare to get AL Jefferson. Now that is an athelete. Good defensive potential and great low post moves.
