Default A Way to retain Finely

Obviously, I am not very happy with the Finely situation. I would love to keep the guy, even though I understand the financial problem. I think we can use the Knicks and the biggest dumbass in the league (Isiah Thomas) to help us out while also helping out NY. What if we can package Bradley/Finley/3mil to get Allen Houston. Once we do that, we can cut Houston and they can cut Finley, and Bradley can work out a buyout. After the players are cut, we can re-sign Finley for the MLE or lower, and they can do the same for Houston.

I think we can re-sign the players as long as we are not the team that is actually cutting him. It would help the two teams in the league that need cap relief the most while retaining their former-franchise players.

Default RE: A Way to retain Finely

First....I love Fin as much as anyone, but he is gone.

Second, the Knicks would absolutely LOVE to get rid of Houston. There is no way they would resign him.

Third, I think that I heard on ESPN or from someone here that the league was not going to allow trade and waives under this new amnesty provision. Is that right?
