You can really tell the Seahawks had nothing to play for from the opening kick off.

My god they are bad.

I don't mean to play Flaco's advocate, but play against the Redskins, 49ers, and Seahawks and that'll happen.

Should have happened against St. Louis too, but it didn't - everything is EARNED in the NFL...

That was terrible....and because of that, that play needs to be thrown out of the playbook. Seems like Roy Williams would be a much better choice for that.

The Seahawks look like a team that the NFL made travel from the west coast for a short-week away game. Who could have predicted this phenomenon?

Also, Seattle's O-Line is leaving Hasselbeck out to dry. Poor guy.

Yeah, no joke - he had a "just shoot me" look on his face after that last knockdown...

Cowboys Defense - 7 sacks, 17 hurries, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception...

I don't care who it was against - those stats are a thing of beauty...

If Ware isn't out, Dallas is going to have a field day with Pittsburg banged up line next week. On the flip side, I think Romo will recieve the same punishment though.

Seahags = pwned

and Ware = DPOY.... the record for sacks in a season is 22.5 by Strahan. Idk if Ware will get to that, he'd really have to keep em coming. But I'm all for him making a chase at it! I say he finishes with about 20.

MRI tests negative for Cowboys' Ware, Barber

IRVING, Texas (AP) - MRI tests on injured Dallas linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running back Marion Barber revealed no significant damage a day after both were injured in the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day win over Seattle.

An MRI test on Ware's hyper-extended left knee showed no ligament damage Friday. An MRI on Barber's right fifth toe, which was dislocated, revealed no fracture.

Both players will receive treatment throughout the weekend. They will be evaluated daily next week.

Ware had three sacks, taking over the NFL lead with 15, before he sprained his left knee late in the third quarter Thursday.

Barber was hurt late in the first half, went to the locker room, came back after the break, but ran only one more time.

The Cowboys have finally faced the hard facts: Kyle Kosier is done for the season with the torn liagements in his right foot, and have placed him on season-ending injured reserve. The Cowboys did so on Saturday so they would have room on their 53-man roster to sign rookie linebacker Steve Octavien off Washington's practice squad. Octavien went undrafted as a linebacker out of Nebraska and went to training camp with Kansas City. The Redskins had just signed the 6-0, 238-pounder who played 22 games for the Cornhuskeres (10 starts) on Nov. 20.

Kosier was expected to visit a foot specialist this coming week, but the Cowboys doctors already were recommending surgery to repair the torn ligament he's been trying to fight through this entire season. Kosier was able to return a second time this season to play in the Washington and San Francisco games. But the starting left guard reinjured his problematic foot against the Niners and the ligament damage this time has left a joint in his foot too loose to continue playing and likely in need of surgery. The rehab from such a surgery is expected to be three to four months.

In Thursday's 34-9 victory over Seattle, the Cowboys replaced Kosier in the starting lineup with Montrae Holland, acquired in an Aug. 28 trade with Denver for a 2010 fifth-round pick. Holland appeared to play decently starting in place of Cory Procter, who had started eight games in Kosier's previous absence. Kosier first injured his foot in the third preseason game against Houston, and missed the first two games of the season. He returned to play against Green Bay but stepped in a hole on a somewhat torn up Lambeau Field late in the fourth quarter and missed seven more games after convincing the club to allow him to rest and rehab instead of having season-ending surgery then.

The Cowboys continue looking for young special teams players to add to their 53-man roster. They most recently signed Tra Battle off the San Diego practice squad on Wednesday when Felix Jones was placed on injured reserve, and the first-year safety actually played on Thanksgiving Day, making a tackle on the team's first kick off of the game. Not only is safety Pat Watkins still having problems with his neck, but linebacker Justin Rogers has been battling back spasms and now outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware is nursing a hyper-extended left knee.

After one game, it looks like we're all going to be very thankful for the Mantra Holland pickup. He was pretty dang solid on Thursday and Proctor...was not..ever.

Hope he keeps it up.

Watkins Gone To IR
Pacman In; Jerry Updates Ware, Barber Injuries

link

IRVING, Texas - On Tuesday the Cowboys moved third-year safety Pat Watkins to Injured Reserve, ending his season after a months-long struggle with a bulging disk that caused repeated stinger injuries hampered his play.

Moving Watkins to the IR opened a spot on the 53-man roster for recently reinstated cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, who is expected to play his first game in six weeks in Sunday's 3:15 p.m. (CST) game at Pittsburgh. Had the Cowboys not made the move by 3 p.m. (CST) Tuesday, Watkins' salary would have been guaranteed for the week, and knowing Jones was coming back, the Cowboys were forced to make a move to free roster space.

Coach Wade Phillips said Jones will play on defensive subpackages and return punts Sunday, and owner Jerry Jones said not to dismiss the possibility he would return kickoffs. Though Adam Jones' off-the-field problems have come to define his career, the owner said he had become a valuable piece of the Cowboys secondary in just six weeks since coming off a year-long suspension in 2007.

"On the field we have missed him," Jerry Jones told the team's flagship radio station. "Up until just maybe last week or a week ago he led our team in pass breakups, he led our team in tackles back there in the secondary . . . I know that in looking at his off-the-field issues it has been stated that he wasn't that great on the field. I think some of that was a little overlooked. He's important to us back there, and he's got a resolve and can come in here and really help us."

On the same radio show, Jerry Jones also explained the injury situation for NFL sacks leader DeMarcus Ware (knee) and running back Marion Barber (toe), who were injured in the Thanksgiving Day win over Seattle. The owner said there was a good chance of both playing against the Steelers.

Ware left the field at the end of the third quarter and did not return after hyper-extending his left knee while rushing Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

Barber had halftime x-rays that revealed no serious damage to the pinkie toe on his right foot, but he came out of the game after his first carry of the second half. Neither practiced with the team Monday. Tuesday was an off-day for the players.

"You have to be relieved that structurally nothing was there with ligament damage with Ware," Jerry Jones said. "And he'll be sore this week but it's a bone bruise there in the knee, and he can play through that and should be ready to go.

"Barber, it's a support thing underneath that small toe on his foot, and visiting with doctors, they've told me that should be very doable, to support that underneath. With just the type of player he is, he should be able to really get out there and execute with that support."

With a brutal final month of the season set to determine whether the Cowboys make the playoffs, beginning with Sunday's game against the 9-3 Steelers, the Cowboys can hardly afford to lose more players to injury, particularly any as important to the team as Ware and Barber.

Watkins becomes the sixth injured player the Cowboys have put on the IR this season, joining fellow safety Roy Williams, guard Kyle Kosier, running back Felix Jones, receiver Sam Hurd and punter Mat McBriar. He missed three straight games in October while trying to rest the injury, as well as the Seattle game. He had two epidural shots to reduce swelling in the disk this season, but the stingers kept coming back, and he was banged up on a DeShaun Foster touchdown run in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys Nov. 23 win over San Francisco. Watkins will likely not require surgery to remove the disk, according to sources.

The Cowboys signed first-year safety Tra Battle from San Diego's practice squad last season to add depth at the position.

T.O. owns a pair of guns that are perfectly legal

T.O. called Plaxico Burress' self-inflicted bullet wound and ensuing legal woes "an unfortunate situation." T.O. can guarantee that he won't ever have any gun-related issues.
"These are the only guns I carry, right here," T.O. said, flexing and smacking his biceps.
"I've never really had a reason to carry a gun. You know what I mean? I don't feel like my life is threatened, even though a lot of people don't like me."
T.O., who checked with agent Drew Rosenhaus (who also represents Plax) to make sure Burress would be OK after hearing the news of the nightclub shooting, understands that the security of NFL players is a serious issue. He just doesn't think that carrying a gun is the best way for players to protect themselves.
"When I go out, I'm not ignorant or naïve to the fact that there are sometimes guys after you," T.O. said. "They look at you a certain way because of the money we make or the status that we have. That's why I'm either have some security personnel that rolls with me or I don't go or I travel with a group of guys.
"Other than that, I just try to keep myself out of harm's way. Y'all ain't never heard of me being in no trouble."
