Where do the Mavs have to end up where we are guaranteed to get rid of Kidd?

I?d say lower than 8th and it looks like we could be there by the new year.

Not likely to happen. We will win just enough, with just enough injuries to go through next season. Ive said for over a year that i think we are going to go way past Kidds expiration date just like we did with Rick. Its what Cuban does.

That perfectly illustrates why I still think this team can make a run. Obviously will take some reinforcements and improvements along the roster, but man, they haven't had a chance to gel. Sure, Kyrie was known to miss some games but how fluky was that injury? Thanks Dwight...and no Maxi all year, Luka missing games, Green not being able to get in any rhythm, if it's there or not. Then there's Lively and Exum, two newer guys who have very quickly proven their importance as they are now deemed starters missing.

Tough to build and maintain any sort of chemistry. The best part is it looks like all the guys are happy and having fun. Saw some pics from the shoot around and recent practices and it's all smiles. For now...winning more than losing will help but it will get old when the losing starts to rear its ugly head more and more and ultimate goals aren't met. But I have some faith that moves will be made. If not, can't hope for much more in the playoffs. This squad will get there, they will not compete for the championship as currently constructed.

Mavs are 20-10 with Lively playing. That should tell you all you need to know about what the Mavs need. Just overpay for Drummond and call it a day.

We need a backup center that rebounds.

Yep. I actually don't fully get why it's reported they want a 4 so badly. We have Williams, DJJ, Maxi, and Omax to fill that position. It's not ideal, but it's certainly not an emergency. Backup center is a much, much bigger deal. Team goes nowhere if Lively is hurt.

A 4 would be fine if it were a cpl levels above Maxi. Someone would have to be a hybrid 4/5 with size/ strength. Focused on Rebounding and Defense.

However, Drummond would fit like a glove

Oh and Patrick Dumont, the actual owner, finally cleared things up. He is the owner and Nico is the GM. I know people on here understood what selling a team for billions meant, but it was kinda sorry for Cuban to pretend that nothing changes.
